Fantastic interview to the best guitarist GNR has ever had. Waiting anxiously for his solo record

That was a good interview.  I love Robin's playing on CD, but that TIL solo is in a whole other galaxy.  So powerful.

Agreed... This I love is simply the best track on the record... his solo is tremendous

comparing him to other GNR guitarists saying hes is better or worse than...is kinda silly tho

Really interesting read... He seems to have a healthy respect for Axl despite him getting tired of the wait

Very interesting interview, especially considering we don't get Robin interviews at all, very rare indeed. I found it very revealing how Robin describes initially having the viewpoint of helping Axl out. Almost as if Robin didn't view it as a long term commitment at all, but a few months turned into 10+ years.

Also found it interesting how Robin describes Bucket as a showcase guitarist who couldn't stick to the structure of a song, so they let him solo and then do what he wanted. Seemed like Robin and Richard was always responsible for keeping the song structured and I think we as the audience could see that was the case clearly.  :hihi:

Great read, miss Robin loads!!!...

This interview has helped me to understand more about Robin's relationship with Guns N' Roses, and it's dynamics. First of all I think it's pretty clear that Robin doesn't have an emotional connection with GN'R at all in terms of it's history, he seems to just view himself as a session player who came in to help Axl.

I don't think he viewed his role in GN'R as high as obviously the fans did, we saw him as the saviour who replaced Slash with great success. Where he saw himself as someone who was "not Slash", so he tried his best to fill the role as best he could.

I will always LOVE Robin, I would love to read a autobiography from him one day.  :D
