Title: Suggest a song to play.
Post by: TheOtherMember on February 16, 2004, 04:41:53 PM
I'm playing a double act acoustic set at school in a few weeks - problem: we don't know what to play.

Previously we've played knocking on heavens door, under the bridge, cannonball (Damien Rice), secret smile (semisonic) and a few other songs like that.

In that kind of mood, suggest some songs for us to play. Acoustic probably (but not necessarily).

Fuck Her Gently by Tenacious D is a good accoustic song.  I'm sure it'll be a hit at your school too.   : ok:

Otherwise, Tom Petty's You Wreck Me sounds awesome accoustic, it's easy to learn, and it's got cool, classy lyrics.

hmmmm accoustic songs.
america - horse with no name, sister golden hair
REM - everybody hurts
counting crows - mr jones (thats a real good one to play)

you should try playing a balls out rock n roll song on accoustic. theres nothing like the good old ac/dc medley.

i suggest the back in black, shook me all night long, long way to the top, highway to hell medley.

yeah but i guess that doesnt really suite the style.......oh well just an idea.

I don't know if you're familiar with Yngwie Malmstens "Golden Dawn". I generally don't like his work at all, but I think that's a good song. It's an instrumental played with 2 acoustics if my memory serves me correct.

Something by Dylan.  Tambourine Man or something that the uneducated will recognise.
