Title: Jarmo and Heretodaygonetohell.com mentioned in Axl article
Post by: Kiki on March 08, 2004, 12:42:29 PM
Axl Rose Guns N' Roses frontman has been confirmed at the Rock and Rio festival for May 30, 2004, in Lisbon, Portugal, according to the official Rock and Rio website.

Axl is like an addiction, with fans flocking to websites such as www.heretodaygonetohell.com , an unofficial GNR fan website headed by Jarmo Lukkonen. They have several GNR fan sites, but it seems that "Here Today Gone To Hell," is the one that was mentioned in a concert by Axl himself. He apparently visited that website, and was once quoted saying, "The internet is one big garbage can."  The website seems to get the entire scoop first. If you are a true GNR fan, you know that "Chinese Democracy," is the long awaited CD that has taken over a decade to be released. No one! I repeat no one, is saying when the CD will be released. Everyone is lip-locked on the top-secret release date.  Axl was last sighted on January 31, 2004 at the Forum Shops at Caesar's in Las Vegas, purchasing a restored, 5-foot Mobil neon Pegasus flying horse for $5,500, according to the Las Vegas Sun. Speaking of horses, there is a horse named after the infamous Axl. Don't believe me, check out  http://www.countylinefarm.com/For%20Sale.htm. According to Greek Mythology, this Trojan horse is said to be inspirational for creative poetry. Perhaps, it was a birthday gift to himself, since the singer celebrated his 42nd birthday on February 6th, 2004.So here we are in March, no official release date, no confirmation from Axl about Rock and Rio. Nothing!  I challenge Axl to break his silence! Mission Accomplished!

I think he mentioned Jarmo by name. I can't remember if it was the site too.

I was there, he mentioned both saying:  ....we're Here Today Gone To Belgium for Jarmo.
It was at the Pukkelpopfestival in Belgium on August 24th, 2002 just before they started Live And let Die i think.

edit: changed Hell into Belgium, my mistake...sorry, the only excuse i have is that it was very early when i wrote it ;)
