OMG!

Comic Book Guy, he did the exact same to me too!

I got Argentina '93 and MSG 02. To his credit he did actuallt post them but not before he had a go at me for putting a post on this very website asking about if he was a good seller. The only reason i asked everybody was cause his feedback was private - which i found odd.

He said the only way i was getting my dvd's was if i removed the post, which i did. Next thing he sends me this e-mail saying he logged my IP address and that im in breach of the data protection act even though all i said in my post was basically, "has anyone used this guy, is he ok etc.." I never posted any personal information about him at-all - Not even an e-mail address!!!
Just a harmless post. I even got a reply too it (cant remember who from :)) saying he was an excellent seller etc.

I eventually got my DVDs however one did not work, he said in the acution he would refund dodgie discs. So i contacted him and told him MSG 02 was'nt working, i even offered to post the broken disc back to him just to be fair.

He said he would send a new DVD out to me, its been months now. I still send him e-mails reminding him that he has yet to refund me, he never replys though.

I thought i was the only one!!

Hey do you have a DVD burner?

If your Arg 93 is the full version, which I need, we can trade and i'll send you MSG 02?

Unfortunately its the edited version + i dont have a DVD burner :(

Good idea though. If your looking for some of the performaces from the full version, theres a guy on here whos been kind enough to upload some of them to his website, "Lucio92" (i think)

Check it out - http://gnrvenezuela.cjb.net - dont know if that helps  : ok:

I think me and you need to get this sorted out. We've both paid for goods that we havnt recieved. Do you know of anybody else whos dealt with him?

You could threaten to take the seller to small claims court ,that?s what I did to one of those fuckers who tried to jib me about a year ago.

If you guys have a CD burner or access to one and want the Paris 92 Pay per view show on CD, you should join the audio train! :)

Man, if you could do that, that would be amazin  :) : ok:

Ive got lots of live and rare mp3/mpeg's. ill send you out a CDR of that if you want, no problem. Some of its really rare. About 700mb's worth.  : ok:

Its a shame, i think ebay is one of the best things to come out of the internet, it sucks that theres a few bad apples in there who can make it such an unpleasent experience.  :(

Oh yeah, and dont be surprised if he sends you emails saying "i have logged your ip address, i am a network security specialist, take you post down imimediately." Thats just a sample of the FBI style shit i got from him

Title: Re:Stay away from this e-bayer

Just a quick note to people who get scammed. IF SOMEONE was actually a Network Security worker or an FBI worker they would realise they selling ILLEGAL BOOTLEGS DVDS for a couple of bucks isn't worth it. I know what you mean EBAY is a great place to buy and sell stuff. AND IT REALLY SUCKS THAT THEY WONT EVEN SEND A COPY OF A CONCERT WHICH COSTS THEM NOTHING.

If someone could start a topic, with just NAMES of people to advoid on EBAY and put a sticky on it so us fans on this website would know who to advoid.

That would probably be a good idea John. Ive heard of one other guy to stay clear of on ebay, i think his name was Paul. (i think) The only problem is ive heard these guys change there ebay names alot  :-\

What we could do is the instant someone thinks the've been ripped off (and they would have to be really sure cause it would suck to give a good seller a bad name because of a mis-understanding). But if the situation was the same as the one Myself or Comic Book Guy are in, i.e. no responding to e-mails for over a month, then you come on here and let everyone know.  : ok:

Failing that, you tell everybody on the baord who your bad seller is, what happened and how. Then everyone who reads the thread sends him an e-mail demanding they stop ripping of the fans, maybe then these guys will listen

Sorry mate, I just tried burning the MSG 02 DVD for someone else, and it doesnt want to work for some reason :(

No problem mate. Thanks for trying though, its much appreciated.  : ok:

Have you seen the Argentina 93 show? What a performance!! Axl is in top form that night.

It makes you wonder when you watch shows like Argentina 93 why they never realeased them on DVD instead of the Tokyo shows. I mean the tokyo shows do have there moments but for the most part Axl seems to be stuggling. When you compare those shows to the likes of Argentina 93 you've got to wonder why they didnt just realease Argentina instead  :-\

The 93 'Skin N' Bones' leg are some of my fave shows.

I would have loved to have witnessed some of the intense chaotic 'Get In The Ring' 91 USA leg shows, even if Axl's voice wasnt really that great.. and the 93 shows looked cool, Axl looked in good spirits at that show. 92 I can pass.

Ive never really understood that either, there was just no atmoshere or intensity at the Tokyo shows.

Lucky there are plenty of cool GN'R bootlegs  : ok:

Title: Re:Stay away from this e-bayer
Post by: Stevenson on June 27, 2004, 07:47:25 PM
I totally agree :)

Dont you think its so cool though that with all these bootlegs going around, it really gives you a chance to get better idea of just what GN'R where all about in there hay day, and why so many people flocked to see there shows.

Its funny how some songs on the albums that you might not really get into as much as others seem to just come to life when played live. A classic example of this is Double Talkin Jive. Heres a song i never really looked twice at on the album, but then when its whaled out live, its such a rush. The ever evolving solo at the end is jus mind blowing.

When i get a new bootlegg one of the things i look forward too is seing what slash is gonna do with that solo, its stunning!  :)

Just an update:

I had a response from the seller again. One can only assume he was away or had some sort of problem.

Anyway, have resent my details and hopefully I should receive my item within 7 days. I also mentioned your problem Stevenson, and should both of our problems be resolved, we will post a correction and/or remove this thread.

I'll keep you posted.

Hey guys, I've had the same problem. I can't believe it.

I payed for MSG '02 off this guy and it's been 2 months. I sent a mail after a few weeks and he said he would send it out but nothing.

So since then I've sent 2/3 e-mails asking for the item and I've had no reply. I've been polite and understand he might be busy but two months?

What do I do now?

And can you believe he had the nerve, after I emailed him and asked him to do the decent thing and send the DVD, to email me with a link to this thread and say "you call that doing the decent thing?"...

So he's one of us, or reading the threads anyway..

So man.. please do the right thing.. we are not made of money.. we just want the DVDs.. send them to us.. and this thread gets deleted.

What do I do now?

I emailed him, and told him should ALL of our problems be resolved within 7 days, that the thread will be removed, and we will speak no more of it as long as the problem is fixed. So give it a week.

I've mailed him again, and I request that this thread stays open untill my problem is solved too.

hey guys just been looking at this post!

the way i see it you already fucked this guys rep over as far as being a seller goes!

hes got nothing to lose now whether he sends your the dvds or not!

hope it all works out but simular thing happened to me a few years back & i wrecked the guys feedback & ended up with nothing!

Title: Re:Stay away from this e-bayer
Post by: badapple81 on June 29, 2004, 08:43:58 AM
I dont know... I think a big bulk of ebay buyers are non forum users.

Anyway you are right coldheartbreaker,  but I had given up getting them, and I only got a response after posting here, so if I get them, its a bonus I guess.

All he has to do, is get us our DVDs within a week, and we remove the thread.

Majority aren?t users of this forum , and the guy can get some credibility back by sending you guys your dvds.

Maybe our little problem has been solved faster than we thought, but i guess time will tell.

Im guessing you got much the same then?

Don't worry gunnerdownunder, It's probably down to the mail taking longer. We're both in the UK where the seller is so it'll take longer for you.

Hope you get it soon, this thread seems to have really sorted it out so far

Ill check it when I get back, and if its all ok and works, as promised, I'll remove this guys details, provided everyone here has also rec'd their DVDs.
