I used to like the Chilli Peppers but can't listen to them after all the crap they pulled on the utterly superior Mr. Bungle.  Whining little bitches they are.... how dare anyone say Mr. Bungle ripped them off - that takes balls

Quote:

"A tour supporting "California" will begin in San Francisco, California on July 13. Three European festival appearances were booked as well, however, Bungle was dropped at the specific request of Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis. Apparently Kiedis has fallen off the wagon yet again claiming Bungle ripped them off"

"the utterly superior Mr. Bungle"

anyways, we weren't talking about the Chilis, we were talking about John Frusciante and his solo albums, which are not even remotely similar to the Peppers.

(ps, what a great reason to not like their MUSIC...)

I guess I just lost all respect for any members of that band after that I guess.......seemed a bit jealous in my opinion.

well ok then, you shouldn't dismiss John's solo work, it's not even close to RHCP or Mr. Bungle musicwise : ok:
btw, I have read a statement from Anthony himself saying that he never said those things, he didn't have anything to do with it at all according to himself.

amazing artist indeed, my favourite one! : ok:
but I wouldn't give him the credit for all the great stuff RHCP has, they are all a bunch of smart dudes!
Im listening to RHCP's Freaky Styley album now from 1985 (when John was only 15) with Hillel Slovak on guitar, and it kicks damn ass!
John started playing guitar for the Peppers when he was 18, after Hillel died. his main influences around that time was Hillel and Slash, so you see where he gets his funky rhythm and amazing solos from : ok:

btw, he also owes RHCP the greatest gratitude, without them he would probably have been dead now.. :'(
