It is impossible to lick your elbow.

Some people on this board have tried that.

*Los Angeles's full name is "El Pueblo de Nuestra Senora la Reina de los Angeles de Porciuncula" and can be abbreviated to 3.63% of its size, "L.A."

*The Grateful Dead were once called The Warlocks

*A snail can sleep for 3 years

*A dragonfly has a lifespan of 24 hours

*The average human eats 8 spiders in their lifetime at night? :nervous:

*The terms noggin(head) and mug(face), originated from old English pubs. People would carve faces on their wooden mugs to distinguish which mug belonged to whom. And, when they were finished drinking they would hit each other over the head and say, "noggin!"

Anyone who can lick their own elbow not just the inside bend of their elbow must have the longest tongue or the most pliant joints or the both.

I just licked my elbow.

So rename this thread "some almost-entertaining theories" because "It's impossible to lick your elbow" is not a fact.

Correct. It's not a fact so much as it is a factoid; which admittedly was part and parcel of the original title of this 'list', when I originally stumbled across it. However in the interest of eliciting more than say, 30 views, and perhaps 1 or 2 replies, I decided to alter the title.

Sorry for a totally shameless bump, but I just had to see if my nice title remains after 12 years. And it's off topic after all!  ;D

Life has taken me away from this place, but I still visit from time to time. Hope you're all doing great and that some of the old members still hang around! Miss you guys! And Jarmo, keep up the good work and drink more Trocadero!
