Title: All guitar players line up and get in here! Show off and tell us about your rig!
Post by: Thorazine Shuffle on August 19, 2005, 09:51:42 AM
All right.? Time to compare and let everyone know what kind of guitars and amp rigs you're using.? I'll start first.

Guitars:

1) Agile Les Paul copy LS 2000 (don't let the copy fool ya, all mahogony body, set-in maple neck plays like a beast.? Better than the Epi copies.

2) Yamaha 40 yr old Classical (thats right, 40 yrs old and plays like a dream.)

3) Fender MIM 97 Strat (for the Funk baby!)

4) Ibanez RG 570 (for when Ima gonna shred!)

5) Alvarez acoustic (for when ole Thorazine is layin back and doin the slide thang)

6) Fernandes Monterey LP copy (lowest action you'll ever play on a git-fiddle.)

7) Epiphone strat copy.? (first guitar that I made into a lamp.? Thats right, lamp.? Because ole Thorazine has that inginuity thang goin on!)

Amp:

Randall RH 200 watt solid state head.? (because it sounds good and because I can't afford a tube amp. Of course you know I'm cheap by now!)

Cab:

Peavey 4x12 sheffield loaded cab.? (Tight bass response with good mid-range.)

Effects:

Cry-baby wah, small-stone phaser, tremelo pedal, chorus, compression, octave pedal.

As long as I've been playin, goin on 20 yrs, I know that your tone lies in the fingers, not your rig.? So don't get afraid if you ain't got the ole name brand.? Now that I'm done showin off, let me hear what you guys got.

Go!

1) Fender Stratocaster FMT Deluxe, 2004 (my pride and joy, humbucker in bridge, singlecoil in neck and middle. S-1 switch button which provides me with endless options of pickup combinations, I fuckin love it!!)
2) Washburn Falcon, 1981 (kickass rock n roll guitar! got 2 Dimarzio humbuckers that sounds like heaven! Looks like a sunburst Les Paul double cut, only a little nicer IMO.)
3) Westone Spectrum SX, mid 80s (Ive put a Seymour Duncan Dimebucker in the bridge, and Im not too crazy about it, gonna look for another one soon. I also have a Dimarzio HS-2 in neck position, and I love that one! it's got Floyd Rose and all, very good guitar!
4) Peavey Raptor (this guy lent this to me, I was only gonna fix it up for him, but Ive had it for 6 months now, guess he doesn't care too much about it).
5) a knockoff Telecaster, Im gonna change everything on this guitar. Ive changed the neck and tuners already, gonna make a new body myself and buy new pickups.
6) a crummy acoustic called Lucky 7, it's probably 30 years old. it's an ok guitar, don't have much use for acoustics, this one does the trick.

Amp:

Bogey 30w amp, I don't know a damn thing about this brand or amps, only that it's cheap, it's a really good amp though! I usually go to our rehearsal house and use my guitarists Marshall stack when I wanna tear it up with my guitars anyways!

Effects:

I mostly just use what's on the amp, clean, overdrive and distortion.
I have a Daphon Overdrive E200D pedal though. it's a pretty good pedal.

2004 Gibson 1959 Les Paul Reissue Faded Tobacco Burst with Seymour Duncan Custom Shop 'Slash' ALNICO II Pros

Late 60's era Gibson acoustic

Right now I'm saving up for a Bogner Shiva halfstack. My last amp was a Marshall 2555 and matching cab.

Good looking ladies you got there.  The Bogners are some great amps that are gaining alot of interest with some famous players these days.  Good choice. : ok:

I used to have a Bogner Shiva combo... I totally regret selling that amp. The best Fendery cleans and raunchy Marshall crunch. This time I'm going halfstack. That way I can use bigger or small cabs depending on what I need. Once you have a combo you're stuck with whatever speakers it has.

Yea great tone you can get out of those amps.  You can still roll with a combo, just as long as you have a speaker output jack.  I had an old fender with 1x12 back in the day, and used my 4x12 cab for the big clubs.  But I hate lugging my half-stack, especially when its not needed (small clubs with good pa equipment can get a combo pretty far.)

Yay....

I have an Epiphone Les Paul, and a Line6 Pod XT connected to my computer... Maybe I'll have some more one day. But for now.. I'm not really that good of a player to be in a need for anything more. But maybe one day..

Epiphone Les Paul
Epiphone Double Neck SG
Old 60's Acoustic

Sennheiser Wireless System
Boss GE-5 Equaliser pedal
Dunlop Crybaby Wah

Marshall MG100DFX

Will soon be a JCM800 2210 with 2 cabs, I will then want to run a second JCM800 and use a A/B box to change between the two heads. One running clean and one overdrive.

Post by: IzzyDutch on August 21, 2005, 05:01:28 AM
Epiphone Les Paul Custom
Epiphone Wildcat

Marshall G30R CD

It's no big deal but I'm really happy with it, the guitars are great and the sound I get is exactly what I like as a rhythm guitarist, the Izzy / Rolling Stones kinda sound a combo between country clean and marshal distortion.

JOKE: how do you know if theres a guitarist at your party.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  He will tell you.

"Jackson" JS30DK dinky guitar
"Cort" stratocaster guitar (I'm not sure what series but plays and looks exactly like a fender strat)
65-watt Kustom amplifier
"Dunlop" Cry-baby wah pedal
"Boss" turbo-distortion pedal

My next axe will definetly be a Fender strat. I was never really interested in using a whammy bar and i don't have the patience changing strings with the tremolo bridge system I have on my Jackson so I'll just take the bar off when I get the Fender strat.

edit:
P.S. I do plan to purchase a Gibson Les Paul in the future. : ok:

If you want to get a good quality Les Paul cheap, I'd suggest a Tokai  Les Paul. I've got an Epi, but it's not even close when compared to my friend's Tokai.

But to get back on topic.

I bought myself an acoustic guitar about a month ago. A Takamine EG510SC. I couldn't afford a pricey one, so I went out and tested a bunch of guitars in my price scale, and ended up with that one. I like it.. A lot.

Tokai models ( the japanese ones) are way better than gibson models. the problem is it takes a whole lotta time for them to arrive and they charge you a lot on customs to.
Japanese Tokai guitars are amazing, so are orville By gibson and the Japanese Line from Epiphone.

Really? How much do they cost?

P.S: Is it just me or does anybody else attach value to the "Gibson"/"Epiphone" Les Paul headstock logo? Maybe it's
bcoz I want my first electric to be Epiphone/Gibson...

the headstock is problably the only part of the guitar that won't matter to it's sound :hihi: pretty useless if you ask me.

i know this guy in portugal that just bought a killer japanese tokai for 1.300 ? taxes included. took 3 months to arrive

-CTS pots
-switchcraft jack e switch
-orange drop cap (brevemente para ser substituido por uma jensen oil cap)
-lighweight aluminium tailpiece
-brass saddles tune-o-matic
-bone nut
-hard case

these are hand made guitars, the quality control is extremly high, they only match the Custom Shop from Gibson when it comes to quality.

all the LS models from tokai are made in Japan, these are the good ones, the korean models are pretty much like epiphone.
i'm thinking of buying one since a guy i know here in lisbon just started to sell them. so i even get to try them out first and they'll be a lot cheaper.
but this is as good as it gets.

^ Wow, really nice!  :o

But they are more expensive than Epiphone LPs, no?
I just found out that Gibson actually sued Tokai for producing such quality copies of the LP, for such low prices. That's why Tokai disappeared from the U.S, U.K markets before. But I guess they're back...

Nice, I'm fixing to score on a Paul copy with some P90 pickups that you got there.  Back on topic, along with my gear on the first post i just scored a Boss GT-3 processor.  I like it, but figuring out the bypass function is a bitch.  Especially since I can't find the owners manual. ???

Epiphone LP (in cherryburst.  I love it!)

Tanglewood Odyssey (my acoustic, which I play more than anything)

Fender Strat (a reissue of a Japanese model from the 60s.  It plays great but it's started cutting out from time to time.)

My amp is a Fender Princeton, which is nice but maybe not worth the ?300 price tag.  I'd recommend a Spiders amp to anyone who has that kind of cash floating around.

I also have a classy footpedal that im playing with now.  It's called TonyWorks Korg and it's a lotta fun. : ok:

thats the kind of finish they used on most gibson les paul up until the 70's right, the type of finish that cracks after some years? the kind thats illegal to use now because of it's toxic contens or whatever...?

the vintage ones look so fuckin' cool when they have the cracking in the finish, just like the aged jimmy page model... which by the way is fucking awsome to play on even tho i couldn't hear the difference from my regular standard lol...

Gibson's still have a nitro cellulose finish. The finish can crack due to rapid temperature change among other things

Right well im a poor student so i don't have money for much rig so here we go:

--==Guitar==--
Epiphone Les Paul Custom Plus (its pretty nice mid-price guitar)
Marshall 30 DFX
Zoom GFX-1
Morley Power Wah

Yahama CPX-01

--==Bass==--
Peavy Milestone III
Laney Hardcore Max Amp

Not that impressive but it does the job and i get some pretty decent tones. Need a new bass rig tho, its laging behind the rest.

My gigging rig is:

Fender USA Standard Strat (with Seymour Dincan Hotrails) >>> JD Cry Baby >>> Mesa Boogie V-twin >>> Line6 DL4 >>> Marshall Reflector >>> Hiwatt Custom 20.

The Hiwatt is the most amazingly verastile and toneful amp I've ever played.  Even though it's just a single channel amp you can get so many sounds out of it as the eq really powerful and it responds brilliantly to playing dynamics and the settings on the guitar.  Very responsive to your attack and cleans up beautiful by playing lighter or backing off on the gutars vol pot then dig in for a really full distorion at a sane volume level.  Also, it really brings out the individual character of each guitar that is played through it, which is something i find lacking in many amps.  It's only 20w but it's loud enough for any gig, I can really drive the valves hard in small clubs and get loads of tone and in bigger gigs it's always mic'd up anyway.  It's far too loud for in the house though, that's why I got a 5w Epi Valve Junior.

I use the Boogie like a treble post just to push the sound over the top if i need a screaming solo or adjust it to give a more modern rock sound.

DL4 is good for leads, cool electro sounds and Edge style rhythm sounds.  The Reflector is a decent reverb with a true bypass, v. nice for clean stuff but not so good for high gain parts.

next purchase will be a Gibson style humbucking axe as my epi Lp is fucked.

6) Fernandes Monterey Standard LP copy (lowest action you'll ever play on a git-fiddle.)

******UPDATE*****

I got a new toy!

The Fernandes Monterey Elite

Hot off the ebay express!? It's not in yet so I'll be waiting for the big brown truck to arrive.?

The Specs:

Features:
Solid Mahogany body capped with a solid 5-A Canadian Maple top
Set-neck design
Pickups: Seymour Duncan? JB bridge pickup, PLUS the Fernandes Sustainer system for infinite sustain
Rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and large block inlays
Hardware: black-chrome hardware and Gotoh tune-o-matic bridge
Grover 18:1 ratio tuners

I'm jazzed about that sustainer system.

probably duncans, i guess. Alnico II's or 59's maybe.

I like the finish a lot.

are they push/pull pots?

Yeah epis need refretting. my epi was refretted once and it was done crappy so i had them finished and they are good (its for sale PM me if you're interested). I have new pots on mine too and they sure do help the sound.

No i have just new pots that are sweeter than the overseas crap they put in epiphones. The tone is significantly better (that plus no p/up covers)

So you don't normally play with the volume and tone turned up full then?

Title: Re: All guitar players line up and get in here! Show off and tell us about your rig!
Post by: AXL 20 on May 28, 2006, 12:44:04 PM
volume yes but tone varies. On the Neck pickup for a SCOM sound I play on 4. for both pickups i usually mix 6(neck) and 8(bridge). When playing an Out Ta Get Me-esque song I put the tone at 7 or 8 on the bridge and then i put it to 10 for heavier things.

keep in mind this is on my Orville LP Standard, I dont play my epiphone anymore. The Orville has Gibson p/ups but the Epi LP Custom you dont get as smoothe a sound with the neck p/up. It's a better guitar for heavier bridge=pckup stuff. or if you are using the right amp and settings (izzy, fortus, and finck) you can get a good lead tone and a PC-type rythm. I just copy slash's settings on my Peavey ValveKing 212 on Class A/B tubes about 80% power and it works for me (as I want Slash's sound)

hope i didnt confuse the fuck outta you :D

Here is a couple of my guitars, and they are for sale!

The first one is a Epiphone Les Paul Slash signature.
I meet Slash when Velvet Revolver played at the Skanderborg Festival in Denmark, and he signed my guitar.
This is a cool and nice guitar.

I knew a few guys that played Tokai strats because in the 80's Tokai reproduced their strats to exact Fender specs making it a bargain.  SRV posed with one on an album cover and even endorsed them for a while.

i got a roland cube 30 and it really rocks.

i don't think any other 30 watt amp can beat the cube 30, plus the effects sounds really good aswell.

there's a vox one that is pretty cool to, can't remember the name tho, it has like a valve preamp so it might be a little bit more expencive than the cube.

but randal or marshall, fender etc can go fuck themselves when it comes to those little livingroom amps...

I had a small 25w peavy amp years ago and it was way too harsh sounding for me...it actually got me out of playing electric guitar i hated the sound of it so much (that was about 1998-2000 i played that thing)...but i guess it coulda just been the guitar i was using...but i have a feeling it was a combo of the 2...thanks though AXL 20 : ok:

: ok: I had a 35 watt peavey combo (audition 45 or something) like 3 years ago before i moved on to bass and it would always be kinda rough, but i wsa using a squire strat

now I play an orville Les Paul with gibson p/ups
and
a shcecter c-1 elite (for sale btw)

through a valveking and i can reach any tone i want through it, except like death metal which yhou need a pedal for and i wouldnt play anyways.

fenders are good but the nice ones are a bit pricey. like the blues Jr. or whatever

good luck  : ok:

And here is my Marshall MG30 DFX, a podxt Live and a Dunlop 535q Wah Wah. I also have a Marshall Jackhammer JH-1 which I rarely use now. I've been playing for about 2 and a half years now.

Going out on a limb here but maybe the AC30 is better??? :P

who make that? or is that just the "official" product number ??? I was looking at the Roland Cube 30X and its pretty fucking sweet...that is the one i played when i bought my guitar and it saunded amazing and the features are ridiculous:

Quote
Roland?s famous CUBE amp lineup expands with the hot new CUBE 30X. With great new features such as Power Squeezer? for maximum sustain without maximum volume, a fully equipped guitar tuner, a mini-jack aux in for playing along to MP3 and CD players, and of course that incredible CUBE sound, this amp is built to rock!

High-quality DSP guitar amplifier with 30-watt output and 10" speaker
Includes 8 COSM guitar amp models: JC Clean, Acoustic, Black Panel, Brit Combo, Tweed, Classic Stack, Metal Stack, R-fier Stack
Powerful onboard EFX section includes chorus, flanger, phaser and tremolo
Independent Delay/Reverb processor
Two-channel operation (Clean/Lead) with footswitch control of channels and EFX
Recording/Headphone output for silent practice and recording
Auxiliary input for connecting CD players, drum machines, etc.
Simple interface for selecting amp models and effects

Powerful COSM? onboard
Unique Dyna Amp feature

New acoustic simulation inherited from BOSS AC-3
Power Squeezer for maximum gain and sustain - even at low volumes
Convenient onboard tuner

in a 30 watta amp? that is silly, I like it

So here is what I have:

First guitar, a Hora Acoustic, I've got it for christmas a while back.

My first electric, an Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus, which I have worked my butt off for, (400 euros, 2 months of work, 8 hours a day), and when when I was going to the US for a year as an exchange student, I took it with me in a gigbag, and I had no problem taking it with me onboard as carry-on luggage, but as soon as I got to New York, it was considered a weapon and I had to check it in. When I got it back, (3 days late btw) it had two cracks, one huge crack around the tone knob of the treble pickup, and one smaller beneath it on the side. So I took it back to the airport, and I told them what happened. They took pictures of the damages, and asked me what kind of guitar is it, and how much does it cost to fix it. I said it's a Gibson Les Paul, and I told them that it's about 600. They told me to get an estimate from a guitar store. I went to the store, and I told them what's up, dude asked me: How much do you want?? :hihi:? ?So in the end, I got 650 bucks 6 months later, I went back to the store where I got the estimate, and bought a

Mexican Fender Stratocaster there, which was later signed by the bluesman Buddy Guy.

Amp:

Marshall MG15CD, little practice combo, but rehearsal-proof, it's louder than the drumset.

Effects:

Crybaby Wah
Digitech ToneDriver

Here are my 59 Reissues with my new Splawn Quick Rod. After trying a bunch of JCM 800's and JCM 2000's I went with the Splawn since it sounded better than all the Marshalls I tried, is made with better parts and was more versatile. It has a nice clean channel, kinda Plexi before it breaks up and has the best Marshall sounding over drive I've heard in any amp. It's got three modes to get Plexi, Hot Rodded JCM 800 and Super Hot Rodded JCM 800 tones. It can easily get AC/DC, early Van Halen, AFD era Slash and Alice In Chains tones.

I like the Splawn Quick Rod better than the Bogner Shiva. I was going to get another Shiva head, but I kept thinking that the overdrive channel was a little too refined. I wanted something that delivered a more raw searing Marshall tone. The Splawn delivers the goods. It even sounds good at practice levels, which I've never been able to get from a 50 or 100w tube amp. They usually need to be a band rehearsal levels to sound any good.

Scott Splawn is a small builder in North Carolina. He only makes about 15 amps a month. You can go directly through him, though the wait is about 2+ months at this point. I bought mine through Rock Solid Amps because he had a bunch of Splawns on order and it only took three weeks to get mine.

hows the slash wah?

Expensive..

It's defiantley better than the danelectro wah I had before it. I'm not a lead guitarist per say, usually stick to rhythm but do some lead work here and there. so I can't do the things that a true lead guitarist could get out of it.

Hey guys, my name's Matt Warfront. I'm new here (this is only my second post) so I figured I would introduce myself. This was an awesome idea for a topic so I couldn't help but comment..here's my two cents:

-2005 B.C. Rich NJ Classic Series Mockingbird (Alnico II Pro pickups)

-1994 B.C. Rich Neck Thru Floyd Rose Mockingbird (looks exactly like Slash's but with a Dimarzio Tone Zone in the bridge position and a Dimarzio Super 2 in the neck)

-Gibson Flying V faded cherry (with Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates pickups)

-50th Anniversary Fender American Strat

-Epiphone Standard Les Paul (Dimebucker pickups)

-Epiphone Hummingbird Acoustic

Amp: Marshall MG 250 DMX

Effects: Digitech Metal Master Distortion, Danelectro Cool Cat Chorus, Dunlop 535Q Wha, and a Line 6 PODxt Live

Nice meeting all of you, take care!

It's just a power conditioner. Works great at reducing noise from old building wiring and neon lights.

Just need one. I got rid of the 3 foot power cord from the GK amp & tuner and got some one foot extention cords and some adapters to get rid of clutter. Works great!!!

Hey guys, my rig shapes up about like this:

Epiphone Les Paul standard? (with select emg pickups)
Cort Hyram Bullock Signature series (cort has a bad rep, but this guitar plays really well actually)
Fairmont Dreadnought Acoustic (my first acoustic, pretty bad really)
Fender Jazz Bass

Fender Cybertwin 1.2 Amp? (people say it's all flashy and stuff but it gives me so many different sounds that's worth it)
Crate GFX30 amp

I have a crybaby wah and about a dozen pedals that I never use anymore too

Guitars:
Orville Les Paul Standard w/ Gibson p/ups
Chinese Gibson Les Paul Custom copy with Kahler trem
Frankenstrat im bulding with 2 squires
Epiphone Ej200Ce Acoustic-Electric

FX and Amp:
Boss GT-8 running through the FX loop of my Peavey Valveking 212 (all tube)

Hey, what's the Chinese Gibson copy like?
I'm interested, as I was just recently in China, and when checking out the music shops in Shanghi I was really suprised at how cheap the 'Gibsons' were. When I asked around it turned out they were all copys. I was pretty shocked- they were just like fake watches- made to look just like the real thing, with the details and the logo and all. I went into a ton of shops and only found one real Gibson.

That's a dream rig you have there, Rezrover. You too, earthling.

I have a Marshall 9001 preamp into a 9005 power amp which goes into a Marshall stereo 2x12 cab, and a JCM900 2500 50w Master Volume MkIII into a Behringer 4x12 cab. I use a Fender Blues Jr for cleans, but I'm not overly happy with it. Guitars are Edwards Les Paul, various homemade Strat and Tele clones, plus a Jackson with EMGs. Not forgetting loads of homemade pedals, most unused and the rest mostly unused. Sigma acoustic (old model with the Gibson headstock) and a Fender 12-string.

For bass, I use an Ashdown ABM preamp into my PC-based recording setup. Bass is a 1977 Ibanez PJ copy and I have a Fender Jazz Special on the way.

That's some pretty cool recording stuff you have there. What's all that stuff in the fourth pic?
How much did the Gibson set you back?

?1,500 for the Gibson Les Paul.

In the fourth picture there is a Korg Kaoss Pad 3 (the cool red touch pad thing), a Mackie Onyx Satellite for field recording and theres a Motu 828 which is used for recording into my laptop (8 channel input) then underneath that at the back is a Alesis 3030 Hardware Compressor.

(added a photo of another guitar and a piano)

Title: Re: All guitar players line up and get in here! Show off and tell us about your rig!
Post by: JimBobTTD on November 20, 2007, 03:13:42 AM
Too right! I've got a JCM900 2500 - the 50W heads before Marshall ruined them with the SLX series. It sounds awesome. It only does one sound (crunch), but it does it very well. Although, since I got my 9001 preamp and 9005 power amp, I have all the Marshall I could need and the 2500 doesn't get much use. Hopefully, I will have finished making the footswitch for the 9001 today so I can really use all of its features.

If you ever get the chance to pick up an old Marshall rack (only go for the 9001 preamp as the rest are solid state), do it. They may weigh as much as a house, but they are cheap, reliable and sound great.

Me too, by and large. I've had the amps sorted since I got the 9001+9005 in the summer, which go nicely with my Fender Blues Jr.

Although, saying that, I am building a Tube Driver pedal, because you can't have too many 12AX7s in your chain! : ok:

And I still haven't fixed up my bass rig yet. Need some speakers for that.

I've just bought a Scrotum Smasher for use with my Les Paul Classic 1960s model also running through a pair of MoogerFoogers (LowPass filter and 12 band phaser).
Gorgeous.

Anyone familiar with the Scrotum Smasher pedal will probably laugh :)?

I don't have a live band, so I don't have a significant amp or stack or anything like that.

But for laughs, I have:

-Epiphone Gibson Sunburst SG
-Epiphone Dot Studio Semi-Hollow (Red)
-Line 6 POD 2.0 (For recording direct to computer, decent sound)
-BOSS BD-2 BLUES DRIVER pedal (If i ever play live)

That's it.

I've gotten rid of a lot of equipment over the years, but I got enough to make a record.

I'll take some pics later.

4) Acoustic:  Epiphone DR-100 EB, Mahogany back and sides, chrome hardware, ebony finish.

5) I got some other acoustic that I dont know the name or make but sounds decent enough.

6) Of course I got my guitar hero 3 guitar lol!!!!!!!!

My main set up of course is the Les Paul through the Roland with the Boss ME-50 effects board!

Okay, here are the Rotosound Nexus Black Coated Type 52 Alloy Bass Guitar Strings; the revamped version of the Spacer strings that Duff endorsed while on the UYI tour. To me, unplugged & through the amp; they sound the same as the RS66LD's.

Don't know if I'm in here already but here goes.

I've just bought the Ibanez ict700 yesterday. And it sounds sweet!

This is my pedal board.
I've got an Hartke 60 watt piggyback amp and I'm useing the Overdriven channel on it with my boss distorion ds1 for that extra metal sound as to say.
The chorus I don't use anymore so there's gonna be a replacement for soon or in the near future.
The Carl martin is a boost pedal and I'm using that offen to get a bit volume up for solo's etc.

and the Wah for the Wah sounds of course :P
And a senheiser wireless box for wireless guitar playing

Here is my Ibanez Jet King 2 bought it in 08 and still love the thing.

other guitars I've got
(http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c286/gnrjanus/462145380_6_ivW1-1.jpg)

I don't have the flying V anymore and the white one.
I sold them due to problems or just not playing on them anymore.

Although this pic is 3-4 years old I'm still using my Stagg stratocaster on occasions (at home) it was my first guitar I bought.

The amp I play on.

It's not much but it works fine with me in the rehearsal space. and on stage.
Never had any problems with it.

in the future I can see my self buying a marshall amp. don't know wich one yet but it'll come with time.

Reverend Jetstream 390 -
(http://www.reverendguitars.com/reverend/images/guitars/bolt_on_series/hi_res/jetstream_390_mpl_3burst.jpg)

I have loads of different pedals, but this is what I've got on my board at the moment:
From Left to Right:

Top Row: Vox AC30 Controller/POG 2/TC. Electronic Dual Compressor/Noise Gate/TU 2 Tuner

Bottom Row: Stereo Memory Man/EHX Small Clone (Chorus)/Big Muff Wicker/Keeley Modded Super Overdrive/Turbo Rat/EHX Small Clone (Phase)

I've got a Marshall Shredmaster, MXR Micro-amp, Boss Loop Station, Fender Volume/Tone pedal and a modded DD3 as well as others I can't think of right now.

My first guitar was an Epiphone SG. After that I bought an Epiphone ES 335 and later a Gibson Les Paul Traditional. That's my absolute favourite Guitar :D
I also got an America Fender Stratocaster.

Effects are Slash Signature Wah and the BOSS GT 10.
Amp is from my dad (Marshall Valvestate VS100 & Yamaha G100II).

But I'm just saving money for a Marshall JVM 410h !!! And it won't be too long until it is finally mine :)

I play very little rhythm in my cover band but I have a american strat with the David Gilmour pick ups in it. I've been playing through a Line 6 Spider II up til now, but I'm gonna switch out the II head with a IV head in the next few weeks. Some of the newer tones will help my sound for what I do backing guitar on.

I need to come round your house Gezzy, I know you live in the UK... :hihi:

I actually have near enough the same setup as you. I've got an Epiphone Les Paul standard, and I also have a Marshall MG30DFX. And then I've got a Cry Baby Wah Wah Pedal, and that's about it at the moment.  ;D

I used to have a classic acoustic, but my friend gave it to me after he brought it from a boot sale. So you can imagine it was rusty as hell, and I couldn't tune the damn thing, so I ended up skipping it.

I can actually get some pretty neat sounds out of my set up at the moment, I generally play GN'R all the time, with Chinese Democracy being my main excercise.  : ok:

^^^ Cool.  There is a similar, black Hamer on ebay for about $875 on a Buy it Now offer, but no bids.  I'm sure the Fender could get a good amount too.   I wish I could afford it right now.   I have a Fender '51 Reissue, and an Acoustic-Electric Olympia bass.

The Hamer was bought for about that but it was in rough shape, cosmetically. It played great, neck was straight, no rust, body solid; the paint was old & cracking, white turned smoke-stained yellow. I had a friend who does auto body repaint it. I showed some pics somewhere else and someone described it as "Stormtrooper White".

The interior of the control cavity didn't get repainted so you can kinda see the differences.
