Title: Your top 3/5/10/20/whatever favorite bands Post by: banachkevin on January 19, 2005, 04:13:57 PM hello fellow gunners this is the first time i have ever posted, but i've come here for a long time. just want to see what kind of bands, guns n roses fans like. ive been a fan of guns for a long time know and the only real chance i have ever had of seeing them was in 2002 in vancouver, as you all know what happened there. But you know that was a true gnr moment will be talked about for years.

2) Guns N' Roses 3) Velvet Revolver Notice a pattern here!lol Seriously though been a fan of GNR since 88, when I first heard STP in 93 I became a huge fan (Things had died down in GNR world by this time) and I followed their career right up until Scott left and VR were formed. VR were like a dream come true for me, My fav guitarist with my fav singer in one group. Infact when people would ask me 'What is your dream band'? I would put Slash and Scott in there, never thinking it would really happen! However as much as I love Contraband, I prefer STP overall. Complicated I know. 2 Motley Crue - Bad asses with a great sense of melody and song writing that went beyond 80's cheese hair metal! 3 The Rolling Stones - A band The Beatles could never touch as far as I'm concerned. Monster Magnet - Kings of Stoner Rock, consistently great and very underated so much to listen to by them and none of it's bad, whether it's Tab....25 [very uncommercial, long and would bore most who don't have a clue] or Powertrip it's all good M?tley Cr?e - This band has such a wide range that people don't seem to know, they were part of the 80's Cheese Metal, although a class above their competitors, they matured their sound with John Corabi on an album disliked only for being not 'M?tley Cr?e' not because it was poor because it was in fact great. Generation Swine was an experimental album with many different sounds and very different from the band of old...another classic along with New Tattoo where they returned to their roots in an attempt to please fans who...stupidly did not like their new direction.
