Title: A lot of hypocrites on here
Post by: Bubba St. Rose on February 18, 2006, 03:57:23 PM
What's the difference between downloading these songs and downloading stolen live soundboard of new material like we all did in 2002 - the blues, madagascar, Rhiad, CD, Silk, OMG, ect.  There is no difference. Now a bunch of you want to take oaths not to download anymore and people are crying how sad it is these songs are being leaked. You stole back then, what's the difference now?

Well Bubba, there is a big difference

The music from 02 is music Axl actually wanted us to hear at that particular time. This is music now that we have not been authorised to hear.

I for one haven't listened to the new leaks.  Mentioning the soundboard, it was obvious by Axl playing those new songs live that he was ok with them being heard.  If people want to listen to the leaks, thats cool.  As longs as they don't get radio play.  I also wouldn't like to see the whole album leaked.

I honestly don't think Axl would be upset that we are hearing these tracks.... remember when his fans took out a full page in a Las Vegas newspaper to welcome him back and he seen it on stage... I heard he was almost speechless and very happy. We are Axl's most loyal fans, sure the corporate elite whose property this is might be mad...but I think Axl is probably laughing and thinking "those over obsessive little fuckheads." :hihi:

He may have wanted us to hear it but not take illegal copies of it. Bad arguement. I will also be buying the CD when and if it comes out. And that's the main problem here. If we hadn't already have gone through 15 years of "it'll be out soon" and being let down, then maybe we wouldn't be so quick to nab these demos. If you don't download them now you run the risk of NEVER hearing the songs because who knows if Axl will ever release this album. Also, I agree with mr. intensity, I don't think he will be pissed. Besides, a couple thousand obsessed fans isn't going to put that big of dent in overall record sales, in my opinion.

nice to know someone knows exactly what axl was thinking, please tell us more since you are obviously inside his head...your reasoning especially needs a little tightening up...i would say, somewhere around the mouth ::)

Obviously you don't know what you're talking about.

Management didn't ask people to stop sharing live bootlegs from the 2002 tour.

Axl also knew those songs would be out when he performed them live in concert.

Two totally different situations.
