In the past years they used to sell single-day tickets, but only shortly before the festival. Since the venue is so big there's hardly a chance that it will sell out.

True, the site is huge... That's really the only down I can think off concerning this festival. The miles of walking, up hill, rolling downhill, ah well... with a cold Bittburg in my hand, thinking of the great GN'R show ahead, I won't be all that bad...  :peace:

... well....!! since I work for a German company, I'm going to be there for 2 weeks....  ;D .... including this weekend and the World Cup beginning.... my question is... I've seen that the ticket is 130 Euros for the 3 days.... that's a lot of money considering that I just want (and I just have the time) to see Gn'R..... is it possible to pay just for that event??? or I really need to pay the full ticket???........

Thanks for the help!!!!!

Title: Re: Rock Am Ring, June 2 (N?rburgring, Germany)

I just mailed the promoter for the festival (Marek Lieberberg productions) & asked whether they will sell single day tickets. Their response:
Quote
es wird dieses Jahr f?r Rock am Ring KEINE Tageskarten geben.
--> there will be NO single day tickets for Rock am Ring this year.

So no RaR for me *sniff*. I don't have 130 eur, especially not if had to pay them for only one night.  Or can I get the money back I spent on the no-shows in Stockholm, Berlin, Rock im Park/am Ring in 2001 and Lisbon? I still have an unused Rock am Ring ticket from 2001, maybe I can use that one  ?

With a capacity of well over 100.000, I doubt they're going to stop at 80.000...

Take a train to Koblenz (make sure it is Koblenz.de not Koblenz.ch), there are shuttle busses from Koblenz to Nuerburgring (here: http://www.rockamring.de/anreise.html , also check http://www.rockamring.de/shuttlebusse.html for the busses that go round the whole camping area and stuff.). You can buy train tickets at the train station in the airport (Frankfurt or Koeln). You might want to check www.bahn.de for details.  if you need help with translation etc., PM me :)

there are gonna be busses from koblenz on. you could get closer to nuerburgring by train, but not to the ring itself. so the "only" way will be to take a train to koblenz and hop on the bus there. i think you can't get from the airport to koblenz with a bus.

It's the first time I'm at the Ring usually I'm at the Park. So I have to check out how to get the quickest way to the first row. Any help is appreciated!
Otherwise let's meet at the first row even if you don't get any beer there. I'm wearing my HTGTH shirt.

I'm planning on sleeping in my car..... is that ok??.....

Please let me know if any of my ideas are way out of something reasonable....  help is appreciated!!!   ;D

Correct me if I got something wrong.
1. Which "Wangen" do you mean?
2. There's a difference between N?rnberg (that's where Rock im Park takes place without GN'R) and the N?rburgring (that's where you should go if you like to see GN'R)
3. Bands on Friday: Bloodsimple, Stone Sour, Alice In Chains, Dir En Grey, Deftones, Korn, Tool, GN'R. For more infos visit http://rockamring.de/schedule.html
4. You don't need to sleep in your car, cause if you've got a ticket then this ticket is also for camping.

Mmm.... interesting info.... I'm going to Wangen.... don't know "which" Wangen... the only thing I know is that it's like 2 hour driving from Munich and from Sttutgart..... so..... I'd like to see Gn'R.... not very interested in the other bands.... so.... I must drive to the N?rburgring.... that's correct??? how far is from the "Wangen" I'm going to be??.....

Here's a map I've made. The red points are all "Wangen" I have found. Most of them are very small towns. If you can tell me why you are travelling from Wangen I may be able to tell you which Wangen you mean.

N?rburgring is correct. It's a race-course near Koblenz.

If you arrive at K?lln, I think the easiest way is to get in a train to Koblenz, that's not too far away. From Koblenz to the N?rburgring, there are shuttle busses. Here's the schedule for the busses from Koblenz to the N?rburgring:

Thursday
journey there    12.30 - 21.30 every 60 minutes

Friday
journey there   08.30 - 19.30 every 60 minutes
return journey    00.00

Saturday
journey there    12.30, 15.30, 18.30
return journey    14.00, 17.00, 00.00

Sunday
journey there     12.30, 15.30, 18.30
return journey    11.00, 14.00, 17.00, 20.00, 00.00

Monday
return journey    07.00 - 13.00 every 30 minutes

If you haven't bought a ticket yet I would do so now, because it will take a while to ship it to sofia. You can buy tickets here:

Anguro: Nuerburgring is nowhere near Nuernberg!! That's 1200 km direct distance!! So make sure you get to Nuerburg, not Nuernberg or else you'll miss Gn'R.

we`ll drive at 3-4pm on thursday. i don`t know when we`ll arrive then :hihi:

and about the first row thing.... at what time should i start trying to get in front? i mean it`s going to be a long day...

It depends, do you wanna see Tool from up front aswell? I'll be so fucking nervous that my friends will have to restrain me, otherwise I'll try to get up front at like mid-day or something...? ;D But seriously, two hours before the show you should start to move forward. RaR has a couple of podium's with the Suziki Alternastage being the only a bit smaller then the main stage, I don't know who's playing at the same time or right after Tool, but since RaR is famous for its programming, you'll see a shit load of people walking around once Tool is done... That's when you have your chance... I suggest you grab it!? :peace:

I honestly don't know if you can buy tickets at N?rburgring but I think you can. If it's sold out it's your bad ;-)

The "problem" will be that Gn'R will play only after midnight - i think the other stages are done by then (Jamiroquai listed as last act on the Alternastage). I think I'll hop in the crowd sometime during Korn... any time sooner and I'd be too exhausted to see Gn'R
/me expects the gig to become a major elbow-fight

True, but Jamiroquai  could also being playing much later... 2 years ago I've watched Kaizers Orchestra with 50 people untill something like 04.00. And last year The Chemical Bro's weren't done untill something like 04.30... So it could be Gun's isn't the last act on saturday... I fear that with: 'the urly hours of saturday june 3rd', they mean they're gonna play at something like 03.00... I mean, it could be magic, or it could mean I'm allready waisted...

I'll be there sometime around 4 or 5pm I think. First thing I'll do is discard whatever shirt I'm wearing and buy a new GN'R one  ;D

I'm not interested in all the other bands (well, Tool maybe), I'm basically there to see Guns and I'll leave the morning after.

So everyone who wants to could meet, have a few beers and then gight our way through to the first row around midnight.
Does that sound alright?

They're open 24hrs, except when they're full... Don't worry, you'll find a place, but don't expect it to be near the festival-site... Bring walking boots..  :hihi:

Thats sounds ok to me, except that I don't know about the lads I'm comming with... I'm the biggest GN'R fan of them all, so I'll have to see what they want... But where to meet? in front of the BBQ place that's opposite the Main-stage?

Koblenz, not Koblentz.
Quote
Der Busticket-Preis f?r beide Verbindungen inkl. Hin- und R?ckfahrt betr?gt je 8,00 EUR. Eine einfache Fahrt kostet f?r beide Verbindungen je 4,- EUR.
--> The price for bus tickets for both connections (outward and return included) is 8.00 EUR each. A single trip for both connections costs 4.- EUR each.

So it will cost you 8 EUR if you want a return ticket, or 4 if you only need to get from Koblenz to Nuerburgring. The bus parts at the main train station in Koblenz, so you should find it by asking around there.

Meeting: Have a look at this (http://media.rock-am-ring.com/pdf/RaR_Plan_Legende06_03.pdf) plan. See the big yellow letter "K" next to the yellow arrow? If you look a bit more on the left side of it, you see two symbols. One is for food, the other is for merchandise. Let's meet at the merchandise stand at 16:00. Would be cool if we know how many of us are gonna be there so that we can take a "group hug shot". I look like this (http://bkatrin.fotki.com/2005/birthday_on_pilatus/img_1284.html)

Holy shit, you look hot, now I'm sure, I'll be there! Tonya, you've been on RaR before? Personaly I think its better to meet at the BBQ joint oposite the Suzuki Urban Challenge... Its closer to the main stage, and if you want to meet on friday, the people who are allready inside, won't have to leave the festival-ground again... Although its a much visited place, you'll be able to spot the gnr fans imidiately... Its just a suggestion... Let me know.

EDIT: By the way I look like this: (http://tk.files.storage.msn.com/x1poX_nVzrJvrc7k6H7GpeeWOVYbLyhNcDAhWCsatH-QIPxMmYfXC-fQTZD9hLOCqXxAzS4S2Miw-PTScGT48HSK_blph9eSkZQHS1wZf5DqjwUe1yjABY-YEfm2yL-EAzlPeZgMDheygs)

Gn'R aren't going on until after midnight. And that's the *official* time. So make that 10am saturday Axl time. They'll probably serve croissants and hot chocolate in the front row by then  :hihi: .
No, seriously. The official "timeline" says "after midnight". They haven't given any times for the other bands yet. So if you don't get any other info at the festival that recommends other strategies, I guess it's safe to abuse Tool's set to make your way to the front.

Yeah, they only do shuttles during the festival. You know, the race ring is somewhat... out in nowhereland, so there's no point in having any public transportation there safe for when there's an event taking place.
You can take a train from Koblenz (please, without the "tz") to Mayen. Mayen is the next biggest town to the ring. Maybe you find some nice dude or dudette who'll give you a ride to the ring. Mayen is 25 km away from Nuerburg. The alternative is to sleep the night in Koblenz and hop on the first shuttle on the 1st of July (no shuttles from Mayen to the Ring!).

hth,
tonya <--- getting excited...

btw: no problem if you don't speak any German, try English :)

What about everybody wearing his HTGTH shirt? If you dont have one just wear a random gnr shirt.

Id like to recommend everybody to take lots of warm clothes with you because its not fun to wear your wet clothes two days in a row.

RaR isn't very organized, anyway, not according to dutch festivals. You can bring practicly anything, like bbq's, drinks, hell even a freezer/refidgerator combi and powersuply is allowed, but if you want to bring your car, you'll have to park on a special campsite called Nordsleife, or something like that, and you'll be further away from the festival ground and you'll have to pay extra for the campsite. There are special ticket available on eventim.de. Also check the pdf's on the RaR site for campsite and festival plans...

RaR is one of the most relaxed festivals know to (european) mankind, and I'm sure that if the bring all the equipment, you'll have an comfortable stay (hence, the weather is a big factor in that). I'm leaving thursday morning for the Eifel, and to be honest, I can't wait!

BOYS AND GIRLS, WE STILL DON'T HAVE A PLACE TO MEET! SHALL WE MEET IN FRONT OF THE SUZUKI CHALLENGE? ON FRIDAY, AT LETS SAY 7 PM OR SO?

Yes, we have a place to meet.
Friday afternoon at 4pm next to the merchandise just outside the Centerstage. Check this thread for the exact location, i posted it like a page ago.

You *can* park you car, just not next to your tent. If you have a caravan (?) or want to attach your tent to your car, you'll have to do so on the camping area called "Nordschleife" (as mentioned in the thread).

Lol I went to the Rock Am Ring website to get some information...

I copied the stuff about Metallica and Guns into the google translater to translate it from German to English. Very Funny  ;D

"Skirt at the ring and Skirt in the park host Metallica, a hard skirt band" - Well something like that...they replaced the word rock with skirt. Hilarious  :)

Came back today, got some much needed sleep first. Don't have much to add to Brownstone's review, and I'm not very good at writing reviews anyway, but have to say this show ROCKED! I was standing a bit more in the middle, not with all those die-hards in front of the stage, so the people around me where the more moderate festival goers and I have to say this band just lured them in. Before the show started people were just curious, not really excited about seeing GNR. The moment those opening notes were played, everybody was staring mesmerized at the stage. Everybody was singing along, dancing etc, having a very good time. Better rocked, the band sounded awesome. Too bad, some people left before the show ended, because it was quite late. The people who stayed though, got everything they wished for! I KNOW this band, with this new line/up is able to win over the general listeners. Axl?s voice sounded strong, he was very energetic. I?m even getting used to the many solos  :hihi: Robin is an amazing guitar player with an awesome stage presence. It is fun watching him on stage (and off, that crowdsurfing mofo!) The band seemed to be enjoying themselves tremendously. Good vibe. I?m a very very happy little girl  ;D

Wow. What an amazing show. Just returned home.

I've been waiting for this for 13 years, since my mother didn't allow me to go in 1993 in my hometown Cologne.

It was such a blast!   The band, especially Axl, was in a very good mood, always joking around. The most priceless things he said were: "Oh, we were going to play different songs at the same time...we're confused..so use your confusion!" (before IRS) / "Mr. Finck is confused now..we fucked it up again..kind of like Izzy was in the band...This is not meant in an BAD way..Izzy was supposed to be here tonight, well, I'm sure he is SOMEWHERE..."

besides that, kick ass show, amazing voice, I can die happy now.

Good night.

Only returned some time this morning from Italy, so sorry for the late report. But anyway, here it is.

Gn'R were scheduled to play at 2am according to some security dudes, and they added that they had calculated them to be at least 1.5hrs late ("cause you never know with these guys"). Anyway, they started 20 min early, at 20 to 2 and played for 2.5 hrs. set list: no surprises, didn't play CD (and no TWAT either AFAIR).

Axl introduced KOHD as "a song that was NOT written by David Hasselhoff" (David Hasselhoff had been really successful in Germany with his songs in the early 90ies).

Sebastian Bach on Michelle (Axl mentioned that he'd invited the dude for the gig, and he wanted to fly there and then the airport closed, so by some circumstances Mr. Bach hadn't slept in like 24hrs but he was there anyway. Axl also said that he'd invited Izzy to the show, but he didn't show up ("Izzy's *somewhere*, that much I know"). )

Axl messed up the beginning of Patience (someone should tell the dude how to whistle the intro and then start the song with the line "shed a tear cause I'm missing you"...). They restarted after the whistling part. Tommy had sat on the steps down from the stage at the beginning of the song, obviously waiting for Axl to sit next to him (and I think that kinda confused the X-Man), and then Axl fucked up the song. At the end, Tommy ran up to Axl and stood there like a tin soldier & did a metal salute \m/ (& Axl called him a metal head).

Axl also was late to the start of Madagascar, and they had to restart the tape. He seemed angry at Dizzy (?), cause he'd started too early. They restarted the song from the beginning. IIRC, Madagascar and PC were the encores.

Axl came down to 1st row during one of the first songs (yeah, I got to touch His Axlness and now I'm a happy gunner and can die in peace  :hihi: ).

There were some more Axl quotes, but i kinda forgot about some of them. One was "who wants breakfast?" (referring to the fact that they were actually playing in the morning) & Ron raised his hand  :) . The greeting was "Good morning", but I think I was the only one who got it. He introduced Robin Fink as "Mr. Robin Finck, otherwise known as Jeremiah Johnson". Other quotes were the same as always ("for your listening pleasure, Mr. Richard Fortus").

The crowd was rowdy, lots of crowd surfers (Tool and Korn were on before Gn'R, so it kinda just continued). Was very cold & late at night, so lots of people standing in the back left during the gig. Security was tight, one dude every meter in front of the stage (and shit were they busy with all the surfers). There was one guy who seemed to be Gn'R's security, with headphones & wandering to whereever Axl was moving. Not the same dude they had in italy though (the one in Germany was a kind-of-middle-eastern-looking dude on the heavier side of the scale, the one in Italy sporty, bond, and busy looking for bootleggers with his flashlight).

On sound quality: The first four or so songs were a bit too clean for my understanding, after that Axl's voice suddenly lost clearness (assuming there was really no playback). The band was tight & rocked the fuck out, crowd seemed happy. Sorry, I haven't checked on it, but I'm sure MTV will air the show so you all can have a look yourselves (and get the setlist and quotes right and stuff).

I managed to take a few pics (though busy watching the show, keeping my head from being knocked off by an overweight crowd surfer, and my hands from freezing off). They are to be found here (http://bkatrin.fotki.com/2006/rock_am_ring/), you can do with them whatever you please as long as you don't use them for some sort of thing you're gonna sell or otherwise make money with (if you copy them, a note about the copyright belonging to me would be nice, still).

it was estimated that there were at least 120,000 people there....thats lots of people, I was there, had a blast, wish I could of met up with some of the fans from this board...but it didnt happen....anyways, I cant believe no audio has been released from this concert, I mean theres clips here and there, but not the whole show, security was so relaxed, a person could have filmed this concert, I mean cameras were allowed, Im sure itd of been easy to bring a camcorder in, or a kick ass tape recorder....

i thought i`d post this in the right section as well :hihi:

ok  i just came back from rock am ring yesterday and was to tired and exhausted to write a review...where do i start with?

we headed to the n?rburgring on thursday and the weather was absolutely shit. it was raining and cold as fuck, but when we finished building up our tents the sun finally came out and the weather became quite agreable hihi

then i went partying at the camps with a friend of mine. we met people from south africa and new seeland there;-) they said that gnr was one of the main reasons they were coming...   anyways.. lots of people there talked about gnr and stuff and you could hear gnr songs being played everywhere. i even heard "get in the ring" and "right next door to hell" once.

on friday the festival began. the first band i saw was bloodsimple. the band is opening for gnr in nijmegen by the way. the sound was complete crap and the music wasn`t that great either. next band was stone sour (also opening for guns in nijmegen). they were simply awesome and i even got an autograph from coury taylor and their bass player after the gig. after that alice in chains(also opening for gnr in nijmegen hihi) took the stage i think. james hetfield from metallica joined them for one song. the performace was quite boring though...

then dir en grey (a band from japan) and deftones took the stage. both bands aren`t really worth mentioning i think...

the next act was korn and they really rocked. 60000 people were jumping and  moshing. you couldn`t resist anyways... either noone was jumping or everyone... all in all a really great performace. i almost got killed though.. the first section was so fuckin packed, that the show wasn`t really fun anymore. also, i didn`t have the chance to drink anything for hours and almost passed out. i got nearly smashed while standing at the back rails, trying to get out of the crowd. when i managed to get out i stole a bottle of water from a security guy and had to enter the second crowd area.  i was able to catch about two minutes of korn`s performace on stage hihi

i was afraid i won`t get the chance to see gnr from the first few rows, but they opened the first section after korn and i got a really good position in front of the stage. it was still really packed. people were falling down and losing their shoes. even someone`s glasses got smashed...

tool did a great show i think, but it became quite boring after a while. the band was just standing there and performing their 10 minute long songs... basically i was just waiting for gnr to take the stage at the end of their performace.

after tool when the stage was set up for gnr the promoter( marek lieberberg?.. well, i don`t know who it was...) came on stage and talked a little about the upcoming performance. he said that the protagonists were all there and "if god is with us" everything should work out fine.

a female mtv reporter with a camera crew was standing on the stage and they interviewed some people and filmed the crowd while they were chanting for guns n roses. i don?t know if anything of that was broadcasted on TV allready....

anyways.... the atmosphere was really great and people were chanting "guns n roses" all the time. the crowd even cheered for the guy who prepared axl`s mic stand.

some people became impatient at 1:30pm and screamed for axl to come out (not in a negative way) even though gnr were scheduled to take the stage "sometime" between 1:15 and 2:00pm according to the guy, who talked to the crowd in front of the show. i guess he tried to make sure, people were staying calm. he mentioned that gnr took the stage two hours late in madrid and budapest.

i was a little surprised to see brain`s old drum kit onstage, but i didn?t really care about that anyways...

around afternoon there were rumours about the band not showing up floating around by the way. i guess some people misunderstood a radio report about pete doherty and babyshambles not showing up, because doherty got caught while having a shot.....

when the lights went down and the intro started the crowd was really electrified. you could hear 60000 germans chant "guns n roses". you couldn`t even hear yourself or the people around you, because the people in the back were that loud. i was really impressed by the intro by the way. it really fits and it`s..... great.

then the concert started with jungle and a really, really long axl scream. the place literally exploded. axl danced and ran around like a maniac. after jungle they played mr. brownstone and it`s so easy (as always... hihi). then axl talked to the crowd for the first time i think. i can?t remember everything so well, because i was drunk and really exhausted after 12 hours at the ring... he said something along the lines of "good evening germany" and " wow, a lot of you mutherfuckers made it tonight". then another "guns n roses" chant started and axl just stood there smiling to tommy. he then said thank you and robin started "better". i can`t compare it to other concerts, since RAR was my first gnr gig, but from what i heard from the bootlegs, this was the best performace of that song ever. axl?s vocals were perfect. the most surprising and impressing thing was, that better got as much applause as let?s say "it`s so easy". axl jumped off the stage during the end of the song to shake hands with the people in the first row i think. the next song was "live and let die". it sounded really good, but i could barely hear axl`s screams. you felt the flames during the chorus even while standing 10 metres away from the stage... i wonder how bumblefoot survived them, since he was standing right behind them...

nyways... then they played knockin`on heavens door and a little jam. then dizzy played let it be as his solo and started the blues. i think merck and beta were on the stage between two of thos songs.... then they played cou could be mine and out ta get me. nothing special about those songs. they were simply awesome and well recieved just like the rest of the show. then bumblefoot played his first solo and the piano was positioned on the stage. axl`s voice on november rain was just incredible. he sang it with rasp and.... well perfect. you people really need a proshot recording of this concert. i give a shit about all those bitchers and whiners on this board. nothing could top that performance.

but well....  after november rain axl introduced an old friend of his. some people were screaming izzy, but it turned out to be sebastian bach again. i was a little dissapointed about that, especially because axl mentioned later in the show, that "izzy was supposed to join us on stage tonight, but he`s ...somewhere. that`s all i know". sebastian and axl did a great performace of my michelle anyways, even though i think that sebastian bach is a dated 80`s rocker, which his moves proved even further...

anyways...axl introduced the band, robin played another solo and then played the intro to "sweet child o`mine". after that richard and robin played their "beautiful" duett. that was the only (guitar) solo the crowd really enjoyed.
the people in the first section always applauded after the solos, but i think the people in the back were a little bored...

of course nobody thought about any solos anyways, when nightrain started. it was definitely one of the best performances of the evening. really mind blowing... then gnr played 4 encores!! the first one being madagascar. the band started the song, but axl wasn?t ready and they had to restart the song. axl talked throughout the whole first verse and he blamed dizzy for the fuck up i think. axl wanted to continue the song, but the band started it  entirely new. he "thanked" them for that and the band started again. axl vocals were the best of the concert on that song. it was the best performance of madagascar ever i think.

after the song axl was joking around how it was just like, if izzy was in the band. (he said that he didn`t mean that in a mean or bad way... and talked about izzy being supposed to join them on stage at RAR, but he just didn`t show up.)

then they played IRS. it was my favourite song of the night. i was really curious to hear that song and even planned to make an IRS sign for the concert. the song was both musically and vocally perfect.

next song was patience. axl fucked up the intro again. he said "use your confusion" and then started singing.

the last song of the night was paradise city. another great song greatly performed. the solo kicked in with the usual pyros and confetti. everyone started to dance and i took the chance to move further in front of the stage. people around me were almost crying and hugging each other. i stage dove and stood right in front of the stage, 2 metres away from axl, while he was screaming "good fuckin night". just awesome. unfortunately the security guys were pushing me away though. i was going backwards to the exit to reenter the attendance and suddenly bumblefoot stood next to me. i couldn`t believe it and just screamed "bumblefoot you`re the man" and we shook hands. then two security guys carried me away........

when i was back in the crowd i saw the band bowing and the show was over. the people were standing there for 5 minutes afterwards applauding. i tried to get back to my tent to have some sleep, but i got lost and meandered between the camps for about two hours, before i finally arrived...

all the people i met or passed by, were talking about the show and how great it was. the worst comment i heard in two days was, that they played to many solos and slash was missing a little on november rain. except for that everyone was praising axl, his voice, his look and his performace and was really pleased by the concert.

listening to all the people talking about the concert was almost as awesome as listening to the concert itself...

i have to admit that all the negativity on this board really managed to make me a little sceptical about the concert, especially about axl?s voice and the crowd. i didn`t completely trust in the hardcores ya know hihi. But what i experienced for myself was simply the best i could`ve hoped for. well they didn`t play "there was a time", but i considered it as a nice little bonus anyways...

axl`s voice was awesome from the opening scream of jungle to the ending notes of paradise city. the crowd was chanting "guns n roses" after almost all the songs and singing along. i think axl was almost embarrased, because of all those chants. he was having a VERY good time and talked a lot to the crowd. he introduced one song as "a song not written by david hasselhof". i thought tommy was his best mate in the band. he and axl were always joking around and smiling at eachother. at one point axl was like: "hey tommy, i think all these people are watching us", then he sang something with his micky mouse voice and the people were cheering.

also, axl was the only singer out of 15 i saw, that ran to the sides of the stage. noone else did that. in general, no other lead singer had as much energy on stage as axl. james hetfield was great, but he`s carrying a guitar......   believe it or not, but axl was the highlight of the festival. not only for me, but for most of the people there i think.  i think he was a little drunk though. noone there agreed with me on that, but he was stumbling sometimes....

before the concert i thought people were missing slash big time, but i only heard one guy screaming " i wanna slash", followed by another guy screaming " i wanna fuck".... hihi

most people were like: "i thought axl would be crap without slash, but he`s the man" and
"he`s the same guy as in 92. his voice is great"

i`m definitely not in the position to compare this concert to the previous ones, since this was my first, but i`m pretty sure that this was the best one. i guess axl took his energy from the crowd.

i met lots of gnr fans there. Kiki, recklessrose, some other great people from dutchdemocracy.nl and tons of people from the german gnr board. i think someone mentioned, that limulus will get the dvd of rock am ring.....

anyways... i saw avenged sevenfold, reamonn, soulfly and metallica on the next day...  if you`re going to the concerts avenged sevenfold are opening for, i suggest you to come late.... i didn`t like them...  reamonn was just utter crap and even wanted to quit early, because the crowd didn`t like him. metallica and soulfly were really great though... i suppose many of you saw the webcast.  they did like 10 encores....

closing.... the show was fantastic, axl was fantastic, the band was fantastic and the crowd was fantastic. i hope axl comes back to germany soon!! beer
