Can someone please post the link to these (2) 8 minute clips from Friday and Sunday?

The best video from the new shows I've seen, was a 10 sec long clip from Rocket Queen, which was great. Anybody knows if there are other videos fro  the new shows with the same quality as the RQ-clip?
Thanks

ok I got 2 replies so far.

$10 covers the cost of getting them.

For $5 more I can burn copies/send them to you too. (that is costof shipping USPS Priority+blank DVDs) I am making no profit on this ...for fans only. not a business move.

id prefer paypal as im going to paypal him today.
but $ is ok too

I'll be happy to pay the 95 bucks, total.  At that point, I'd of course torrent them for all.  Dankrass, let me know if you just want me to bite the bullet on it.  No skin off my nose.

if yours are better (havent had a chance to download it yet) ill mix it in. did you only get the two dates i see (14 &15)?

who knows, maybe in a week or two a soundboard bootleg will turn up like in 02. this would be especially possible if the dvd rumours are true id like to think.

last night i saw a pretty large dv camera shooting from the approximate position of these still shots. it was sitting next to one of the light fixtures on the first balcony and there was no attempt made to cover up its position. who ever made this tape could never have snuck a camera that big in.

there is a chance that whoever made these bootlegs is in with either the venue or the crew or the band, so maybe it already has sound board quality sound on it, but who knows.

anyone see the MSG bootleg, hows that one sound?

Regarding soundboard recordings, is there no way to 'tap' the signals from all of the wireless amps / mics etc.?

I know it probably sounds a very 'n00b' thing to say, but is it possible?

And, do roadies / soundboard guys often give away show's recordings when the price gets right? (I only asked at a Darkness gig, and the guy said it'd cost him his job)

Title: Re: Let's Liberate The Bootleg DVDs, Folks!
Post by: kunzerd on May 18, 2006, 04:47:39 PM
depending on how these look i might edit them down to one video that would include the best performance of each song, best solos, guest appeareances, and every song, so it would be like one three hour long concert. also if he provided enough coverage with zooms and any angle changes in each video i could help make it look a little more professional.

my effort will depend on the sound though.

yes you can record off the In-Ear-Monitors (IEM)

ive never tried it as I am not a soundboard fan in general.... i love the warm AUD sound.
and these IEMs are usually very 'thin' in sound

nowadays, because everything is cheaper with digital and no tape is involved, bands record almost every show because you never know what you might want to use for something later. ?all we have to do is wait for it to fall into the wrong hands (like in 02). it shouldnt take too long with something like these hammerstein shows. i think they will be highly sought after.

I am more than willing to put in for this thing, but I do have a question. My computer and its equipment is not up to snuff to be able to download the show in full. Now I have a DVD recorder, so my quesion is this: Once this is done, could I get a copy from someone, and in turn I could make some copies also for fellow board members, to help each other out. I just cant download it from the net, but I am more than willing to make copies for other members if I can get a copy myself.

Great idea btw, just above about tapping into the wireless signal -> thats a bit extreme and could possibly ruin everyone's fun.

Soundboards are got either by

a) knowing the sound/video guy and jackin' into the desk
b) claiming hearing difficulties and getting a like hearing aid loop thing

Is it the same filmer "Kevin" who did the Stones show? Those were delayed for a few weeks for pretty the reason you mention though filmers know these things will be torrented and treed so they make most of their money from ebay sales to people who don't know or care about such things. In general I think selling boots sucks, but when the money is going to the guy who took all the risks/costs of filming it in the first place then it's much more understandable.....IMO

To everyone offering to help w/ the purchase of the DVDs.  I appreciate it but lets just wait until the sender gets in contact with me.  I'm prepared to make him a pretty decent offer if he gets the things out to me like, tomorrow.  At that time I might take some people up on their offer to help - but don't worry, I'm fronting the cash forward on this.  Soeriously, I know some of you peeps are like college students and stuff.. I just made 200 freaking dollarsfor about 30 minutes of computer work for a friend and his girl.. and I do stuff like that often... don't worry about me, I'm solid :)

In all seriousness.. Lets just let this happen and then worry about all the other stuff :)

Remember VR Roseland? The filmer is no stupid jackass - he knows that they will be torrented, so he's going to try to prevent what is happening here from happening...

Only a newbie, and I may be COMPLETELY off.

I'm pretty sure that all the Roseland shows are filmed by the same person(s). In 2003 when AC/DC played there, a fan saw 3 camcorders. All 3 masters were bought by a guy in the UK and it's remained unreleased since then (the filmer's made copies for themselves, but were paid extra not to release them). I assume the guy figured he could do the same thing here and sell it. Or he could just be like some filmers who sell their masters.
If ANYONE can hook me up with the guy who filmed Roseland, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE contact me. I have been dying to see Roseland since the day after the show.

Don't crucify me if my info is completely wrong!  :peace:

That's a shame about having no close ups, especially the 4th night since it would be good to see some close shots of Axl and Izzy. But oh well I'm not complaining it's still great people are putting the effort in to get these.

But there is a 2 cam from night 4!  And even though there are no close ups the venue is small so they should be very good shots anyway.

Anyways all this talk of torrenting may keep these DVD's from appearing for awhile. ?I mean they will get sent but as said before I am very sure that the seller/filmer will want to recoup as much money as possible before they let it out to the masses. ?Unless, of course they are offered a very substantial amount of money to where they wouldn't care.

Thank you dark for all you're doing and for letting us know. I will start working on some DVD covers for these. I think they'll be done whenever the seeding will start.

What's the deal with the close-ups by the way? First, Dylan says there aren't any close-ups except for Night #1, then GNRArnold says there are close-ups on Night #4. So, who's right in the end? Thanks.

There are closeups for night 1 and night 4.  I'll post the descriptions here below:

Quote
5/12/06 new yorrk city hammerstein ballroom....136 min. 2 dvd set comes complete with professional artwork menu and chapters.... this is a waist up close or closer dvd some wide outs but not many....... if you want to see as close as you can get this is the one. takes away from the stage show with all its lights and gizmos going on and like 6 other band members going nuts at the same time but you can count how many freckles are on axls face and what guitar strings are being played and such........different set list then mos of the other shows............ great crystal clear perfect picture nice sound...cant go wrong.

5/14/06 this is an exclusively shot wide stage shot dead center with 0 obstructions. steady nice close up wide stage remember we are in a club so wide stage is closer. you have 3 screens in the middle that capture all the close action...... get to see everything even with the big firestorm and light show really nice.......... same as above 2 dvd set art menus deluxe.....different set list than first nite has rocket queen

5/15/06 this is an exclusively shot wide close shot which means it gets the middle 1/3 of the stage from top of drummers head to foot of stage in froont on a tripod over 2 hours of action way different set list and again like above crystal clear killer sound and all done up with art and menus, ect........this is one of my favorites.................
5/17/06 well this was the nite of craziness, special guests(izzy, s bach, kid rock, and more) they were all on night train and some others seperately. anyhow this show was the closing nite of the historical run at the hammerstein axls new home.....so he says...was a killer show with a little bit differnt set list more older gnr stuff almost the whole appetite cd and the longest one 2 hours 40 min. killer show 2 camera mix with wide stage close shots and everything in between. just complete nuts.....2 dvd set and recommended like 5/15

(I edited a couple spelling errors in the quote - otherwise, its exact)

sounds like between the 4 shows the taper mightve gotten decent coverage. if i can get good sound and sync up the light show on edits, i might be able to edit this all to look like a multicamera 3 hour plus show (taking the best song performances per show, using the guest star performances, best solos).

cant wait for the torrents so i can get to work.

awesome. the closer i get to the source footage the better the quality (due to dvd compression things like that) also id like to try and make my own complete edits rather than edit around someone elses edits.

im looking at the set list and it looks like im probably going to use most of the 17th, with T.W.A.T. from monday, and the 14th and 15th for wide shots, but ill wait until i see everything before i make any final desicions.

this is awesome. probably take me all summer to complete, but still awesome.

Ok, I've purchased all 4 discs.. they will ship out to me within 10 days and I've requested they be overnighted to me.? At that point, we'll work out the rest of the details i.e. distribution and all that.

I'm also offering the seller a cash incentive to get them out to me sooner, so we'll see if he / she is interested.

Post by: darknemus on May 19, 2006, 08:44:02 PM
Yep, B&P is exactly as explained.  Here's a very basic rundown of how I plan on doing this.

A. I get the discs.

B. I will torrent one of the shows immediately.

C. I will also send copies of the shows via the mail to a few people (I'll work out who over the next week or so)

D. I will ask those people to try to torrent the same show I am torrenting at that time - in order to maximize distribution of that show.

E. Once that's complete, we'll repeat the same basic steps for the other three, torrent wise.

Please understand that we're talking about 8 DVDs here which is about 32 GB of data, give or take.  Downloading this stuff will take you a while - so you're going to have to definitely be patient.  As long as I can get some help from peeps, everyone should get copies in a timely manner - its when we deal with situations like someone dropping off the second a disc is done downloading that issues arise.  This has to be a group effort or else you're punishing everyone.  In addition, I have no issues with calling your happy ass out if I do see that kind of behavior.  Don't be a dick :)  Just relax and be patient and we'll make sure everyone gets what they want.

Remember, 8 DVDs, 32 GB.. this is going to be quite an adventure ;)

Don't worry - you'll be taken care of.

Everyone else,

We can work out the tree details later on this week or whatever.  Let's make sure I get the discs in hand before we go into too much of a panic over who / what / where / when.  At that point, I'm game with whatever's necessary to maximize distribution in a minimum timeframe.

Where will you torrent these at? ?It would be cool to torrent each disc simultaneously at all 3 trackers. ?Dime, PC Tracker, and the GNRUS tracker. ?That way everyone has a shot at them.

decide if you want to be a branch or leaf ...

the branch gets the shows ready then sends them out to the leaves ?

like 8 branches ,,,,,then each branch is assigned a leave

tell me how you think about that ?

Oh and I got a decent DVD Burner if anyone needs the favor returned when/if I get copies. I was there on the 17th and having all 4 shows on DVD would make my year!!

I didn't read all the pages, but I can help with distribution in the US.  I'll buy a copy and then collect a list to distribute. This sounds awesome.  The MSG DVD is really good, can't wait to see these.

If you're saying what I think you're saying, I have no interest in using a bunch of peoples' PCs that you didn't get permission to use in order to help distribute.  In the words of Axl who was doing a pretty decent impression of the words of Baz "Dude, why do you have to be such a DIIIIICKKK?"

Botnet stuff is for script k1dd1es who have way too much time on their hands.  If you're gonna hack - at least have some ethics about it.

HAHAHA! 10 days, LMAO... He told me that a couple times, it took a month for them to be shipped out... And you might as well have just flushed the overnight delivery money down the toilet... He usually just puts stamps on the envelope and drops them in a mail box.

And in about 9-10 months, hopefully they'll be on blu-ray discs (which are 25 GB for single layer discs, 200 GB for 8 layer discs). And those will be even closer to the master. Can't wait for the shows!
Any GN'R traders out there that will accept AC/DC in a trade? I'd rather trade for these shows than do B&P.

This is great news! Thanks for spearheading this Dark, and a big thank you to everyone else who made this happen!

Hopefully, this has shown the people who film GN'R shows that the GN'R fan community just want to see their favorite band perform and share the joy, and hopefully that will encourage them to, in the future, give this stuff up for free. I am taking my DV camera to Inland Invasion in September, and even though I haven't got the slightest idea how to transfer DV to a computer (and I doubt my PC could handle it), I will send the master DV tape to Dark or anyone else who can make it available to the rest of the fans. Hopefully, most of us feel that way about it.

But I digress... Thanks again for this collective effort!

I would definitely do this too, it?s a great way to spread to fans, got some friends in latin america who might be wanting this very bad, just like me in central america? : ok:

Oh, and THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT WORK AND EFFORT, TRADING COMMUNITY ROCK ON!!!!

Dark is there any chance you could ask him if he has the ability to burn these to dual-layer DVDs so we can have 4 shows on 4 discs instead of having 2 discs for each show?  I have a dual-layer DVD burner and would be more then happy to B&P since im sure most people would rather just have a whole show on one disc.  If you would rather just continue with getting the shows on 8 dvds could you tell me the sellers contact info cus I'll probably go ahead spend the money to have them on dual-layer discs if he can do that.

Also im gonna try to look into posting these on a newsgroup somewhere, everyone who has newsgroup access would be able to get them really fast this way

Title: Re: Let's Liberate The Bootleg DVDs, Folks!

Dual Layer DVD is 7times more expensive (at least in our country) than regular DVD+/-R, it's not the best way

Title: Re: Let's Liberate The Bootleg DVDs, Folks!
Post by: SuicideUZI on May 21, 2006, 03:58:01 AM
maybe not worth it to you but i'd much spend an extra $15 or so to get 4 blank dual-layer dvds and have 1 disc per show, which is why i asked for the sellers contact info if dark would rather just continue with the 8 DVDs

Title: Re: Let's Liberate The Bootleg DVDs, Folks!
Post by: MarioGunner on May 21, 2006, 04:00:17 AM
sounds like between the 4 shows the taper mightve gotten decent coverage. if i can get good sound and sync up the light show on edits, i might be able to edit this all to look like a multicamera 3 hour plus show (taking the best song performances per show, using the guest star performances, best solos).

cant wait for the torrents so i can get to work.

thanks again dark.

That?s a great, great idea, very, very nice, i?m sorry i repeat so much sometimes, it?s just that i?m so damn excited!!!!!

Thanx again to EVERYONE giving something into this!!!!!!!

ok Dark,, been readin for solng here, not posting in any board, but this one its hard to not to say a single thing,,,, the thing is... are you sure about all this?? i mean, i dont want to be the prick who turn the hopes down, but, you say you have talked the guy right?? so i think this is serious... seen the pics, i suposse they're screencaps from the video, but have you asked all the things you need to protect yourself of being ?mmm lets say "mugged"? (spell?) ? i mean, i would have asked for a 10 sec clip of each show if i was spending at least more than a $100 US... not that is too much money, but consider all the factors and all fans and readers of this board that got their hopes up when one guy said "i'll be here next week with news that rock the trade community" (fagg),,, or things like that,, i mean, lets hope this worked well,, and by the way, have you asked about the source?? ?maybe i didnt pay attention to every single post in this topic but i mean, the angles, the camera, the encoding format, and most important, if these DVDs are gonna be authored by this particular guy? ? i think i saw somewhere that is the same guy who made MSG02, but only taped the show right? ?wouldnt be great to have an authored version of Jarl? or Will?? (not to suck their balls off but they do such an amazing job on that!!) ?

And finally one last though that maybe everyone in here are gonna bitch on me for this thought....

-Remember how Velver Revolver were supossed to release a live DVD of their first gig?? ?And then they didnt 'cuz it was already out there as a bootleg,, and its been said that those 4 shows were recorded for a DVD release, and also read somewhere that those were filmed in HD!! ?So, the question is:
Would you prefer (hypothetically (spell?)) ?an Jarl Will Limulus etc authored version od those 4 shows? ?or----
A fully official relase of one DVD cam mixed of 4 shows in High Definition????

Again, i hope everything works out great for us fans!! ?: ok: im there for anything, from money to encoding to posteage to seeding w/e,, just name it!!!

By far, best post i've ever read in few years!! ?

audience shot, even authored by someone as famous as people you mentioned, can't match PRO-shot version with professional authoring. so I don't worry. if we're gonna see it, we'll see it : ok:

it's VERY hard. sbd should have been stolen or someone should have paid the soundboard crew... anyway I don't think some of this happened, so we're gonna getting just a decent quality audience recording.

Pretty sure it had nothing to do with bootlegs being out there of the first show as the quality of the boot that is going around is shitty as in VCD sourced.  Although there may be a show from the master somewhere in someone's hands.

And even if they do release a official DVD I am very sure most if not all will buy the thing anyway.

i'm debating on whether to get copies of the masters. i got this in 1 email from a seller:

all shows come with case and artwork, all will be chaptered off the MASTERS!!!
i can't give exact shipping date but i garantee you'll be the first to get these if you get them now
DV CLONES are also available for the first three nights

Dark, i've bought stuff from this guy alot, i seriously doubt they'll be shipped overnite, and probably not within 10 days either. i could be wrong, but i doubt it. His vids are always worth the wait though, i've never gotten a bad one from him.

Thanks so much for everyone invloved.  One question though, how are these going to be released?  Are the 4 shows going to be released "as is"  without any editing, or are we going to get one or 2 shows with shots all mixed together?  I for one would recommend to release these as is...then if someone wants to "edit" them, they are more than welcome to do so. I just think it would be cool to see all 4 shows with the original audio, instead of an overlaid track.

I just think it would be cool to see all 4 shows with the original audio, instead of an overlaid track.

i concur

they are being released as is.

i am doing the edit as a personal project that other members of the board have shown interest in, so ill torrent it or whatever when i am finished.

fear not, you will get your original footage.

ok Dark,, been readin for solng here, not posting in any board, but this one its hard to not to say a single thing,,,, the thing is... are you sure about all this?? i mean, i dont want to be the prick who turn the hopes down, but, you say you have talked the guy right?? so i think this is serious... seen the pics, i suposse they're screencaps from the video, but have you asked all the things you need to protect yourself of being ?mmm lets say "mugged"? (spell?) ? i mean, i would have asked for a 10 sec clip of each show if i was spending at least more than a $100 US... not that is too much money, but consider all the factors and all fans and readers of this board that got their hopes up when one guy said "i'll be here next week with news that rock the trade community" (fagg),,, or things like that,, i mean, lets hope this worked well,, and by the way, have you asked about the source??

I can vouch for the taper , I have and know of people who have dealt with them as far as back as 4-20-2004 uniondale new york metallica ....so it is very good and the shows will be coming . I say no to deul layer dvd's , simply because I dont have a deul layer player or burner

i'm debating on whether to get copies of the masters. i got this in 1 email from a seller:

all shows come with case and artwork, all will be chaptered off the MASTERS!!!
i can't give exact shipping date but i garantee you'll be the first to get these if you get them now
DV CLONES are also available for the first three nights

Dark, i've bought stuff from this guy alot, i seriously doubt they'll be shipped overnite, and probably not within 10 days either. i could be wrong, but i doubt it. His vids are always worth the wait though, i've never gotten a bad one from him.

what is his website

I'm just hoping the torrenting starts sometime soon! We'll all seed for each other for sometime I'm quite sure. I just can't understand why this guy wouldn't just send it right out if he's being paid especially if he's not paying shipping. Why the hell would he care how fast they get out as long as he's getting paid??

because this is meant to be released for the fans, not for every guy next door. sure it will appear at public trackers sooner rather than later but opening at private bootleg trackers is the only right way. you know why? because public tracker allow hit-and-run behaviour, every asshole can come, download the 32GB bootleg without seeding a single byte. private trackers pay attention of everyone's ratio, so everyone who wants to download anything has to seed, so this ensures that just true fans download the stuff.
you may say how stupid this is, that newbies can't download anything because they don't have appropriate ratio and have nothing to seed. this is wrong, every leecher can seed their actual download so there's no problem. you can join every private bootleg tracker (every of them has the rules but for example some waiting at GNRtracker or active account at PCtracker aren't such pain in the ass).
in my opinion, public trackers are just useless and people seeding there are crazy... these trackers are full of fuckers who just leech and offer nothing to seed, limiting their seed to zero. that's why I personally don't like public trackers.

you may say how stupid this is, that newbies can't download anything because they don't have appropriate ratio and have nothing to seed. this is wrong, every leecher can seed their actual download so there's no problem. you can join every private bootleg tracker (every of them has the rules but for example some waiting at GNRtracker or active account at PCtracker aren't such pain in the ass).
in my opinion, public trackers are just useless and people seeding there are crazy... these trackers are full of fuckers who just leech and offer nothing to seed, limiting their seed to zero. that's why I personally don't like public trackers.

I see

Fair comment.

i dont totally agree. if all of us are downloading from the public tracker then we already know it will have seeders because we promised to seed it. also, what better way to remind the world that GNR is back and that they still kick ass than with a bootleg of a hammerstein show. cause even after NY im still running into people that 1) didnt know they were playing again or 2) have a really negative opinion about the band because of things theyve heard in the past.

these dvds offer a good chance to turn that around and actually make chinese democracy a great success. i know a lot of you are already under the opinion that it will be automatically, but seriously guys most people think GNR is a joke now. thats why they did the hammerstein, to spread the word here and warm up the US before they return.

I know the site has a bit of a 'reputation',  but to maximise seeds, how about torrenting on the (Swedish?) http://www.thepiratebay.com ?

I think LOTS of people use it...

well the other problem with private trackers is that i'm guessing the torrents won't be posted on ones im a member of.   if you're asking members to devote time to these torrents, a la uploading a lot, that requires more than a love of gnr.  i came late for the hammerstein audios at dimeadozen, and there's no way i'll ever get a 1:1 ratio since i missed the boat on that.  and honestly, i don't care enough about a grateful dead boot to download it, then seed it just to get my ratio back up so i can download gnr.  at the site i belong to, i have a 1.6 ratio, and thats with about 160GB uploaded.  i agree public trackers suck, but still, i don't want to miss this because my dimeadozen account is suspended for a bad ratio.

anyways, however this ends up working, im sure fans will be getting the dvds.  thanks again to all involved.

What's my chance of getting the set?

Torrent = you get it.

One problem, I've never used torrents, and don't really plan on it, seeing as I don't have the space? ATM.

Dont worry Axlander it'll be on bootlegs...... : ok:

Those DVD?s will spread faster then you think.
At first the will be in a few torrents.
I think between 500 and 1000 people will get them true torrents.
A few will get them true B&P.
Some might even buy or trade for them
They will be uploaded to those free download website?s by some people I guess.
They will be in newsgroups.
And off course they will be in hub?s to.

Now do you really think not 1 of them will torrent it on The Piratebay or some other public tracker?

Just a quick update:

A. I've now got two - three people in the UK who will be getting direct copies of these discs as soon as I can receive them / ship them out - should help with the UK / Europe B&Ps.  (I'll give everyone details on who they are once I actually have the discs in hand)

B. To those who have paypal'ed me money to help cover the cost(s) associated with shipping & blanks, I thank you.

C. I've asked about buying the masters - however, currently the seller doesn't want to part w/ the 17th 'close-up' shot master.  Not sure why - if / when I get more info, I'll share.

D. I've got a POSSIBLE lead on full footage from the acoustic show.  Please realize that its just a possibility right now.  If it happens, of course I'll share.

E. There will be a decent set of people in the U.S. who will be helping out with distribution as well.

F. This might be insane - but does anyone think torrenting all 4 shows in one .torrent might be the way to go?  I'm just concerned with people dropping as soon as they grab a show and not sticking around to help others.  I still haven't decided what trackers to use.  I'll sort that out here over this weekend and stuff.

This could be prevented (atleast a bit) if the seeder limits his/her uploadspeed (when seeding per show), but also uploading all the dvd's in 1 torrent could do the trick. I understood that the shows are double dvd's and uploading about 30gb in 1 torrent..will slow things down...and also (hopefully) the leechers...but then again we can't prevent ppl minimizing their uploadspeed....and alot of leechers do that.

Yeah, thats the direction I'm leaning it at the moment as well.  I was just considering the one torrent for all four shows as a possibility.  Chances are I'll just do each show separately, though.  I just don't want anyone who wants a copy to get screwed over because of some leech.

Probably PC & Dime.  I have about 50Kb/sec upload speed avail so if I cap each at 25Kb/sec that might not be a bad idea.  It'd take a while but the nice thing about Dime is ALOT of people would jump on it, which helps tremendously.

paradisecitytracker and the gunsnroses.us tracker are solely dedicated to gnr and don`t have that many users. also, members have to keep their share ratio high...  i think those trackers might be the better choice.

Maybe you could try copying the folder with the DVD and burning from the copied folder, not the one accessed by your bittorrent client? I've never had problem with playing/burning and seeding at once, but I'm on a Mac.

Wow thats hard to believe that .20 that much of a difference in processor speed would make the difference when I'm running triple the average ram. Also, that doesn't really explain why I didn't have this problem when I ran all the same stuff on a P4 at 1.7ghz.

Personally, I use Nero to burn all of my DVDs.  Have had no major issues that I'm aware of.

-darknemus

I have always heard good things about Nero but I have no experience with it and I'm scared to dump $100 (or whatever it costs) into it, ya know? I use a totally seperate program to burn CD+Gs, do you know if Nero will do that too by any chance?

Download nero, that's what i did :)

I accuired Nero this afternoon  :peace: I'm gonna install it some time tonight or tomorrow when I'm not working and try that out.

Sorry to continue to be so off topic, but how is Nero for making audio and mp3 CDs too?

I rarely ever copy anything thats encrypted. I usually just download concert bootlegs off of Dime or pc tracker so that shouldn't end up bothering me too much.

Basically waiting for the discs.  Once I get them, I'll be doing immediate shipments to a few people in different parts of the country / world - in addition I'll begin to prep for the torrenting.  Don't worry, once I've got them, you'll have them shortly thereafter :)

Sorry for going OT again, but I understood from your post that you're not using torrents because you're on a Mac. Torrenting works perfectly well on Macs, at least for OS X. I'm using the Bits On Wheels client (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/17129), but there are many others to choose from: http://www.macupdate.com/bittorrent. If you're using OS 9, there's still hope: http://btfaq.com/serve/cache/11.html

First of all, put the 'Bits on Wheels' program file in your Applications folder.
Then download a .torrent-file, for example this: http://www.legaltorrents.com/bit/pearl-jam-life-wasted-video.torrent (it's legal). This is a small file around 50kb in size.
Find the 'pearl-jam-wasted-video.torrent'-file that you just downloaded and doubleclick it.
Bits On Wheels will open and automatically ask you where you want to download the torrent.
Choose your preferred download location and click OK.
That's about it!
You can view the download progress in the Bits On Wheels application. It might take some minutes before it starts to pick up speed.

Dark, once you get the DVDs, please don't torrent all 4 shows at the same time. Some people don't have the necessary bandwidth or storage capacity to keep 4 big torrents running simultaneously. If you want people to stay and seed as long as possible, I suggest you to put up a new show every 3-5 days. But that's up to you to see  ;)

Agreed.  I actually just paid my ISP to double my upstream bandwidth in order to make this process as smooth as possible.  You're right, though - bandwidth is a commodity, and in some places, people just don't have alot of it.

The first dvd to come out is just about finishing up for me and alot of others right now. I'm sure it's not nearly the quality of the ones coming forth, but it might get us by until then. Anyone interested should head to pc tracker. I will be seeding (along with alot of others I'm sure) for quite a while.

Yep - looks like my download on my home PC just finished up (I'm at work at the moment).  I'll be seeding that one for at least a couple of days.  Might have to drop the total upstream down to 40-50K/sec but I'll keep the connection going for anyone who needs it.

Its a DVD someone put together of a couple of the Hammerstein shows.  Quality isn't the best, apparently - but the efforts damn well appreciated.  You should go to PC Tracker and send the admins an email - I'm sure they can help you out with your problem.

I just watched the majority of the disc and it's pretty good. It's awesome to have some better sound from the first show. The discription of the DVD is pretty accurate as far as camera work. Not the best but definately appriciated!

I don't know how the PC tracker works, but I'm registered there. Dime works great for me!! I can download there with speed about 600Kb/s!! I know it's because there's a lot of seeds and blah, blah, blah, but I can't get this speed in other tracks even with a lot of seeds.

The problem of Dime is that they are some real pain in the ass when it comes to their rules, your torrent can get banned for no reason

I had an idea to throw out, I noticed that dark was just going to go in chronological order of the 4 shows. I was thinking maybe we do the 12th and the 17th as the first two because I think a lot of people are looking forward to seeing Izzy hop on stage. I understand if people want to wait for a surprise I only brought it up since the 14th and 15th shows we already have the audio for thanks to dark, clips for the 12th and the 17th seem to be more sought after. Maybe a happy medium would be the 12th, then the 15th, then the 17th, then the 14th. That way it is spread out more, I guess it all depends on what everyone thinks. I just thought it would be an interesting point to raise. Anyway whatever you decide it fine with me I am just pumped to see any of the shows. You all rock, cheers

Quick update... basically its just the waiting game at this point.. I sent an email to the seller this morning to see if they would ship out today - have yet to get a response. .but that's kind of normal... usually takes him 8-10 hours or so to respond to me.  I'll keep you informed.

Ok.. Seller's responded.

They will be shipped out Express today, I will have them by Friday.  He's refunded the money for the overnight shipping I paid for - which was a nice gesture on his part.

Once I get done with the seeding, I will happily B+P the 17th show for anyone who can't download.

Hell, if you live in the US and are interested, contact me now and i'll send you the info on the B+P

I really feel bad for people who can't download torrents, or don't have a burner.
