Here Today... Gone To Hell!

Because of the overwhelming response to my call for people in need of the Hammerstein shows and the overwhelming interest in the Audio formats for the 2006 shows, I've decided to take this one step further.? I'm combining the two distributions and will add an extra bonus.? I have recorded all of the data files from my collection of GNR cds in MP3 version onto my harddrive and have burned the files to a Master Set of 9 DVD's.? All totaled, there are 291 concert dates represented on the DVD's, which represents a definitive collection of what is available on the GNR market. The only video files included are the rips of the Hammerstein DVD's.? If you're interested in a list of the shows on the discs, please email me and I will send you an excel spreadsheet with each date and location listed.

More importantly, to sign up for this massive and FREE liberation of Gn'F'nR media, add your name to the list below, as well as your location and PM me your email address.? There will be two sets distributed.? One will be for the continental U.S. and one will be for international fans. There is no limit to how many can sign up, but the deadline is MONDAY, AUGUST 28, 2006 at MIDNIGHT.

I think 291 is a good start for free.... but, the ones that I dont have in audio, I have in video.  I just never got around to extracting the audio tracks and ripping them into mp3's for this endeavor.  If you'd like to contribute the audio versions of the missing shows, I can easily generate a list of shows that aren't represented in their audio version. holy crap!!! how long did it take for you to put them onto DVDs???

It only took a few minutes for me to set it up to backup the files to DVDR's... It was pretty automated, I just had to change discs every now and then.  :peace:

My 6.28.87 show is probably not soundboard, there is too much crowd noise and Axl's mix is very low.? Unfortunately, I don't have the source data for all of the shows that I have.? I do have the 1.7.92 show - From Memphis, TN, if you need it?

Edit: The 6.28.87 show does sound like an audience recording, from my second listen, but the band is recorded very well.  I'd give it an A-.  But Axl is still low, I'm not sure if it's what you're after.  You're more than welcome to hear it.

For the US vine, since I am first, is it alright if I add an additional DVD+R with some of the missing shows? I think I have 6 or 7 of them.

I've got all the missing shows except like 3. I'll be sending out a DVDR to BluesGnr either today or tomorrow. Unless, he'd like me to send it to you first?

UPDATE:  As soon as I receive the remaining shows that were not going to be included originally, I will send the sets out.  Everything should be in the mail by mid-week to the first people on the list.  It is your responsibility to get in contact with the person above/below you on the list to organize shipments.. if you have any problems doing so, I have email addresses from everyone and can either help to put you both in contact or make other arrangements.  If anyone has malicious intent and does not fulfill their end of the vine (keeps the discs for themselves), their information will be disclosed to the trading community and they will have one hell of a time ever trading or being a part of a vine again. I'll post when the discs are shipped.  Lets keep this successful!  :peace:

Because I was waiting for the other shows from Axlander, I only put them in the mail today.  The set is 100% complete to my knowledge and should be arriving to the #1 people on each list within the next few days.  I'll keep this updated as I hear back from them.   :peace:

So according  to my records jazjme  is second on the list. So jazjme: did you get the discs, and if so, when will you send out to number 3?

Is this  vine alive  or has it died  due to irresponsibility or worse?

Still on it's way to me in Australia. I would think it should arrive this week, but may not be till next week, that is the usual time it takes for items that come from America.

  It will then be forwarded to the next person on the list in the UK, another 2-3 weeks delivery. Everyone on the international vine will need to be patient and realise that this will take quite some time before it gets to the end of the list.

  When I receive the discs I will be sending them out via air-post, I suggest that everyone on the international vine do the same to speed it up as much as possible.(unlees you live in the same country as the person you are sending it to).

How Bluesgnr got a negative Karma is crazy to me, this guy has given up he's time, alot of effort and ultimately he's complete collection of every show ever recorded... I think we should get a petition to get he's Karma settled... ;D

I've had 2 incidents of lost mail in my life and both times there was shipping confirmation - This time I've got nothing to prove that they were sent or received.  GNR2006 is a cool person and I trust that I'm not getting lied to (why would anyone just keep discs and not copy and send them? It seems irrational.).  I'll resend the discs in a day with confirmation to the verified address and all will be well.

Before you send the discs, tell me which address I gave you. It's possible all this confusion is my fault, I could have given you my parents address, and they never told me I have mail.

It's pretty rare for mail to get lost these days, so I have a feeling this might have been what happened. If so, I apologize, it's totally my fault.

No harm done and I don't blame you at all - I'll resend them tomorrow morning and hopefully you'll have them soon.  No big loss - I buy dvdrs in bulk so it's only going to cost me $2.35 to fix this.  Easy enough for me  :peace:

Give it some time, people. This is a pretty massive undertaking on his part. There is no need to rush this. I mean, Dark still has dozens of people waiting on Hammerstein DVD's from him, and people seem to be on his case less than Blues.

BluesGNR is no Darknemus. Blues recorded the DVD's, burned 2 x sets (20 DVD's) and posted 1 lot to Australia and another to the US. THIS WAS FREE 100%. I have total faith in the guy..

Hey everyone,

to those that have not yet received the disc set, you will be receiving them shortly.  I reposted with UPS on Saturday, as I received 4 packages from USPS marked undeliverable for an unknown reason from my post office on Friday.  I have 1 international package that needs to be resent, because UPS would have charged me $93 to send 9 cd's to Ireland and I just did not want to spend that kind of money.  I'll be resending that set from a different post office on Monday morning.  Most sets should be received, at the latest, by the 11th.  Tracking numbers were sent to two recipients so far and the rest of the tracking numbers will be distributed tomorrow afternoon, after I address the international shipping issue.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.  I've been dealing with 81 dvdrs between this vine and associated trades and to have 4 packages returned to me was a big setback, considering the costs associated with reshipping and the fact that I need to explain why people haven't received from me yet.  I've been trading for years and never experienced anything like this, which is why I spent around $8 per item to reship through UPS to people.  I sincerely apologize for the delays, but I trust that you will all be satisfied once you receive your sets.

I've got parcels from the US plenty of times before and with alot more dvd's/ cd's and it cost no where near that much for them to send.
I would not be complaining only that I traded with BLUESGNR for these and covered my part of the trade about 2 weeks ago. So all I say is excuses, excuses????? ???

Yes, $93 and you can actually get a quote from my address to yours from UPS.  I have your "undeliverable" marked packages that were returned to me Friday afternoon (both of them) and a slip that I'll scan to prove it.  I've been running around like a madman trying to make this situation right for everyone and went to UPS to ship your package again (for a third time) last night, only to be told it'd cost me $93 to post, which you can I can agree is out of the question for a parcel of 9 dvds.

i had to use a special program to rip the discs, the first time i tried there was a CRC error. But you can play those tracks just fine. So I think it was my drive. I made image files of the DVD's to copy them.

Dude, chill out. If he said that he sent them, he really did send them. I deal with him all the time and he has ALWAYS come through for me. Everyone else that I know of, that has traded with him or expected something, always get's what he has promised them. There is no need to get angry about it, although I do understand the frustrations you are having. I'm just trying to calm you down a bit and assure you this is a trustworthy guy. Unfortunately no nothing has arrived to me yet in Australia, hopefully they will be here soon. I have purchased many items of ebay and not one thing has never turned up, sometimes they take longer than others I don't know why. The longest I have had to wait for something is four months, and I checked the package for the post mark and it was the day after I made payment, so it must have got held up somewhere in the postal system.? :peace:

I know that... every time i want to send something in Australia or Canada it takes many days... 4 months though is tooooooooo much  :-\

Another week gone, still no sign of those DVDR's, the max it takes from the States is 3-5 Days, 7-8 at most, this is 2 months on. If I was getting these as part of the Vine I could understand the delay. But I traded for these and sent first, oh well,you learn by your mistakes as the say.

Alright dude, I tried to let you save face but this shit is getting tiresome. One set was received back, along with other packages I sent on the same day.  I posted that a long time ago.  I resent everyone shit and, hmm.. how about that? Everyone, except you, admits that they recieved it.  To send a package from UPS to Ireland or Croatia (two places that I had to send)  -  It would have cost about $93 each.  The people that received my packages the second time were all from UPS and I paid over $7/package to send them, when I know damn well that I could have sent them USPS for under $1.  But, since I already got fucked from USPS once, I decided not to bother doing it again.

Now, everyone in this thread can verify that, when the packages were received, they were UPS and NOT USPS.  I resent your package via USPS two days after I sent everyone elses UPS.  I've told you this in email twice, but if you're going to call me out on the board, then I have no choice but to tell you this all twice.  Frankly, your unwillingness to deal with this privately is annoying, but I'll tell you that I'm growing weary about your own integrity.  I've sent you the set TWICE and you've claimed to receive nothing.  Is this my fault, because I don't bother with tracking? Perhaps.  But, on the same token, I shouldn't have to spend the extra money, on top of the two sets that I've sent you via USPS.  I've spent, so far, $18 in shipping, plus the cost of 20 DVDs to complete this deal.  I sent the second set in good faith, through a DIFFERENT USPS location in town.  Neither packages were returned, like the first one was with everyone elses.  Apparently, they arrived somewhere.  My guess is that you've already got them.  Unfortunately, neither you nor I can prove or disprove that.

I'm hesitant to send you a third set - thats 30dvds plus $27 to complete this, and I use the word "complete" very loosely, as I tend to believe that I already have.  When I know fully well that I've already doubled the efforts that I had to, it becomes a very difficult situation.  I'm not going anywhere and I plan on sticking around here for a very long time.  You know how to contact me.

Lastly, Lennonisgod stuck up for me because he knows that I've done a lot of trading and have a stellar reputation for coming through and keeping my word.  So, I ask you, in your five years of trading, how many times did you cry wolf and say you didn't receive something when you actually did?

Look for the last time, I have not received either of the 2 sets that you say you have sent and you saying that I have, is really pissing me off. Did you receive my part of this trade, yes, as you confirmed, was I honest with you , yes. So why would do you then say I did receive the 2 copies you say you sent and still be looking for a third. If I had 1 copy of these I'd be happy. I have traded with people all over the world and never one time did I rip anybody off and never had any problems with stuff being sent to me. Why did you not just send them priority airmail. Look I dont know, all I can confirm is that I have not received any of these. Please dont call me a liar when I have covered my part of the trade. What the hell would I want 3 copies for????

Is there any news on the International Vine??? To my knowledge #1 on the list is still to receive the set....

I am #2 and in the UK if the vine has broken down for whatever reason and someone generous soul out there will b&p me the set it would be much appreciated.

I will then re-set the vine, sending 1 set to the initial #1 on the vine in Australia and another set to #3 on the vine. Hopefully we can get this back on track.

Sorry still no news, went to the post office to enquire about them, still nothing. They said that it can take up to three months for items to arrive from the US depending on what shipping method was used.

If I remember correctly they were shipped out the second week of Sept. so that would mean that they still could show up in the next couple of weeks, :peace:

Thanks for that.  Some people think that I'd stick my name out into the community just to rip off a few cds.  I've started this vine which turned into a 10 dvd set of every show available and have done countless trades over the years.  The majority of people in this section of the board, knowingly or not, have done business with me in the past.  Some how, some way, a lot of people have my personal information.  They know where I live and how to contact me, from my address, to telephone number, to personal email address. 

Anyone that doubts, as Axlander was kind enough to say - why would I have my personal info cycled about just to rip someone off for a few discs?

I've got a few packages from the states in the last few months and had no problem, so please explain that, one package going missing in the post I could understand, but not two. I sent him a PM to check the address he sent them too and he did not even answer me. My point is I covered my part of this trade and he did not. He saying that he sent two copies and me receiving not 1 set is not covering the trade as far as I'am concerned. This is my last comment on this I just could not be bothered anymore. if he was posting to u the only wasy they cost 9.00 to post is a large globel priority packet and in a small 1 is 5.25 how many dvd was this deal  u can fit up to 10 dvdr in a 5.25 packet globel priority

I can't comment on whether the discs were ever sent as part of the vine or not. What I can say is that I had a separate trade with BluesGNR for 10 DVDs. I sent mine on 29 November but never got anything from him. I have emailed for weeks but he seems to have disappeared from this board. So, I did my part of the trade but never got anything in return. I live in the States, so mail delivery should not be a problem. I guess it's hard to figure out why some people do the things they do.
