Title: New Scissor Sisters Album: "Ta-Dah" Post by: Evolution on September 21, 2006, 05:29:46 PM Anyone else had a listen yet? Give it a try on their myspace.
Pretty good diverse body of work, I like Kiss You Off the best right now. Awesome pop band. You can hear the Elton John in there. Title: Re: New Scissor Sisters Album: "Ta-Dah" Post by: Origen on September 21, 2006, 05:42:25 PM I think there a very good band/act. They have really catchy songs, I really liked Laura and Take your Mama Out and even their cover of Comfortably numb is good.
So yeah I might check out there new album. Title: Re: New Scissor Sisters Album: "Ta-Dah" Post by: Gnrfan on September 21, 2006, 05:42:39 PM Not really a fan.
But my girlfriend loves them. and she likes some things i like so maybe. And she tells me i have to grow up and start to like music i can dance to . . even though i can look a dick to any music They butchered 'Comfortably numb' by floyd and i never gave them a chance after that Title: Re: New Scissor Sisters Album: "Ta-Dah" Post by: Danny Top Hat on September 21, 2006, 06:51:51 PM The first album is great except for Comfortably Numb. My favourite song of theirs is Return to Oz.
I'm looking forward to hearing the new album. :peace: Title: Re: New Scissor Sisters Album: "Ta-Dah" Post by: comaknight on September 21, 2006, 11:22:43 PM It's a darker record than the first - though you can't tell it from the outrageous arrangements. "She's My Man" is "I'm Still Standing Part 2," musically. I want to give the record a few more full listens but, frankly, I think it's better than anyone expected the Scissor Sisters had a right to be.
