I'll be there with some friends!   Hopefully right at 6:30.  I live just a few blocks from The Fine Line (by Sex World), so if you're looking for a place to park/meet up at before hand, let me know.

I may take you up on that parking offer.

Just let me know in advance, you've got my number, and I'll let you know where and if there are spots available.  I have one spot that I own that's usually not in use, except on rare occasions when my girlfriend needs it, and then usually the lot itself has at least 5-6 spots open on Tuesday evenings.

I checked out the Fine Line's website and noticed there is an act booked for that evening, with a show start time of 8pm.  I emailed the general manager and asked about the logistics of the listening party, whether they are going to just play the album one time prior to the show starting, and/or if there is going to be a seperate room or something for the listening party.  I will let you all know if I get a response.

I'd like to come, but it may be a last minute thing.... we shall see!  :peace:

I guess the "receipt" is just a printout of the order details from the website.  Not really very official since anyone could make copies.  I'd like to get that t-shirt to wear to the AC/DC concert on 11/23!!

It looks like this party is is going to be a short one.  Someone from the venue emailed me back and  the event will go from 6:30 to 8:00 when the folk band stuff is slated to start.  I also called the place to confirm. Kind of a bummer, too bad they could not find a venue where it could be an all evening thing, like at the "Rock" or something.   Would have liked to hear the album more than once.   

But like MNsotapop says, it is still better than a kick in the ass.

At least I know I'll be home early since I have to work at 7 the next morning.

93x's "D squad" DJ Sean Knight will be at the shindig tonight.....which is good, since they probably have been mentioning the party on air.

Sean Knight..who the f' is that?  ???  They could at least have a couple 93X-girls show up

It was a great experience.  The album sounded great. It was a decent turnout.  Even a local news station was there to report on the event.  They interviewed me which was a trip.  Unfortunately I did not make the cut during the news broadcast, but news on the event was aired.  It was kickass one of the local news stations picked up on the event.

We all got free t-shirts, some more than others *cough* *cough* JuicySwoos *cough* ( :) : ok: - you deserved 'em man!), free beer (once the high life ran out they switched over to Honeyweiss), and free food.  And of course, awesome music that everyone seemed to be into.

It was kind of trippy hearing some guys at another table talking about how great of a song Madagascar is!  I'm so used to being the person talking about how great it is.

It's hard for me to pick my favorite song.  This I Love is currently my favorite, but there are so many good songs, I think it's gonna be one of those things that changes on a weekly basis.

So what would I have to do to get him to cough up an extra shirt?!  ;D  Sounds like it was a good time.  What tv station was there? Good music, Free beer and food, Hot women... Sounds like a perfect night!

I ended up going home with 8, since my pre-order reciepts were for 8,  but they are all spoken for.  My buddy's 10 year old nephew is wearing one to school as we speak!  If one frees up it's yours.  What is your size?

It was a cool night.  I also came home with a couple of the promo posters too.   I know for sure KSTP channel 5 was there, because they axed me from the broadcast.  I noticed one more video camera inside the club but was not sure who they were.  There was also a still photographer milling around too, again not sure where she was with.  Loretian might get some ink in the Star Trib though!!

Also.  I tivo'd last night's newscast, and just checked it out again today because my friends said they did see me ( did not notice it last night because I to busy pouting they did not include my soundbites).  And low and behold, they showed you and I when we were chit chatting.

hey, I just edited my post with the painting....check it out....I just watched the newscast from last night and they showed us when we were bullshitting.....

I do plan on getting chinese democracy done as well. 

Cool!  Is there a name for the segment or anything like that?  I tried to find it on KSTP's site by searching for Chinese Democracy, but couldn't find anything.  They might not have posted it yet too.

Can't wait to see the Chin Dem painting.

This article starts off talking about the Best Buy deal, but about halfway through talks about the Fine Line event, with lots of quotes, including one from yours truly.  (My quote is completely taken out of context!  If there was one thing I have not been, it's skeptical! I believed when I first heard Madagascar 5 years ago. )
