Title: Duff and Matt will tour with the Hollywood Vampires Post by: overmatik on July 26, 2015, 12:07:46 PM So in case anyone doesn't know yet the Hollywood Vampires are a group featuring Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Johnny Depp. They have recorded an album, which will be released later this year, and their live debut will be at Rock in Rio this September. This is from an interview with Alice from two weeks ago:
"Then, I go off with the Hollywood Vampires. They're my side project. Johnny Depp. Joe Perry. Matt Sorum. Paul McCartney's on the record, but I don't think he's gonna be in the touring band. Duff McKagan. We dedicated an album to all of our dead drunk friends, all the guys that died that we used to drink with. It's a pretty good album. And then we're gonna do some shows, some charity shows and Rock in Rio. It's a pretty good lineup." Slash plays guitar on "School's Out"/"Another Brick in the Wall pt. 2", so now there's three former GNR members involved. I found it weird that neither Duff nor Matt play on the album, even though Alice mentioned them on the interview I posted above.

The band has announced two dates at the Roxy on September 16th and 17th as warm up gigs before their Rock in Rio concert.
