not sure how many people like me are from outside Chicago, but the city has a shit ton of cool stuff to do, so anyone making a trip out of it might find this useful.

Transport to Soldier:
Trains
Red, Green and Orange Lines
The stadium is a few blocks east of the Roosevelt stops on the CTA Red, Orange and Green Lines (about a 15 minute walk or a short bus ride).

You can walk from the ?L? stops by heading east on Roosevelt Road from State Street until you cross Columbus. To your left will be a walkway that gently slopes down through the Museum Campus to a pedestrian underpass to get to the other side of Lake Shore Drive.  Then, turn right to head south past the Field Museum and on to Soldier Field.

I'll be up in the 400 level for this show near The 50 yard line, unless I spring for GA pit on stubhub a couple days before.  I've got 200 level for Sunday night.

I'm not a native, I'm from across the state - but that's a good list.

My wife and I will be staying at The Omni that weekend if anyone wants to meet up before either of the shows.

Def Leppard and Tesla are playing Tinley Park on the second (which would've been my choice for the middle day) but my wife isn't a huge concert chick anyway - so we're doing Blue Man Group at Briar Street Theater at 8pm on the 2nd.  Front row/center (wish my Guns tickets were that good!). Tickets for that are still available too, and if you use promo code SKYDECK at ticketmaster, you get free Skydeck Chicago tickets.  So we'll be checking at the Sears Tower at some point over the weekend too.  Riding in on an Amtrak from Galesburg on Friday morning and leaving town Monday morning.  Looking forward to good pizza, killer shows, and great July weather in The Windy City.  Last time I saw Guns was at House of Blues from the balcony over DJ.  Good show - but I'm fucking pumped that it's finally the real deal.

Hit me up if you want to meet up for sight seeing, dinner, or off day debauchery.

Oh yeah, and Kuma's Korner is a must.

For the out-of-towners, do yourself a favor and enjoy the city.  Lots will be going on for the weekend of the 4th
