Title: RIP Mark Lanegan
Post by: DeadHorse on February 22, 2022, 08:13:23 PM
Mark Lanegan has passed away at age 57.

I have a few of his albums, Blues Funeral and Imitations are great.

The song he did with Slash "So Long Sin City" is such an amazing track. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AupQUbgUPsA

RIP Mark

Sad.

Was one of my favorite singers.

Saw him numerous times around Europe. Solo, also with the Gutter Twins and the Twilight Singers.

I'll always remember having him open for GN'R at the four first shows on the 2017 European tour. It was surreal having one of my favorite singers open for my favorite band....

Gone too soon. RIP Mark.

You were the first person I thought of when I heard the news. Thanks for introducing me to his music.

RIP Mark.

No problem. The more people who got/get to enjoy his music and writing, the better.

Again, likewise.

Extremely sad news. I got to see him live a few times after having been introduced to him here via Jarmo. Still listen to his music regularly, and have very fond memories of listening to "Hit the City" as I rolled into Montreal in January 2010 en route from Toronto having been to a HTGTH meet at Loose Moose Tap n' Grill. Good times. That song still makes me think of that City - which I now love, I guess partly through Mark and his music.

Cheers J,

Cheers Mark
