Couldn't believe it when I got the email about the start time. For the first time I'm going tonight and have stayed off here so I don't know what they've been playing. 30 years since my first GNR gig, think this will be my 12th.
So have they generally been coming on stage on time as 6.45 seems ridiculously early?

In Prague they started exactly at 6:45. First time out of 8 shows that ive seen them start on time actually ;D
I Lisbon they started 8:55.

I think its the curfew. They start about 3h/3,5h before the curfew is so they have time to play what they want. London has a early curfew 10pm i think

Said on the email that the curfew was midnight, which is why I though 6.45 was strange.

Thats odd.
When i saw the Stones at the Queen Elizabeth stadium it was a strict 10pm curfew. Maybe this stadium is further away from the city?

I'm popping in and out.  I'm trying to take down brush along a fence line.  Hotter than hell but if we get cloud cover for a minute I run out there and work on it.

Let me do a time check.  I have about an hour before the show?  They are likely to run a little late?

Axl talked to the audience with a problem of some kind for the second time after Better ended. Could not hear it clearly what he said...

Oh and he stopped Estranged for a minute, and it started again...oh man! Sound issues!

Didn't officially time it as was having a great time nonetheless but seemed very short. In comparison to other gigs. Missing lots of songs ...no you could be mine? Coma? More. Seemed odd that the (arguably) pinnacle of the European tour seemed an oddly short show. Can't blame crowd they were electric right the way through. Poor sound at times. But fun was had. Great time with pals. Good night.

Good to see Axl cares about the audience. Sucks to pay lots of money and not hear the vocals.

I remember in Helsinki 2010 the first couple songs we didnt hear Axl at all. Us in the front row told i think the head of security who then told someone on a walkie and the sound was fixed in the minute that followed.

So pleased I didn’t go , been every other time they’ve been here since 91 ! Ha, it’s nearly the same show ! Hope everyone enjoys the next one . I’m off to see Pearl Jam next week at Hyde park , they are playing short sets this tour ! We are getting old eh 🤷🏻‍♂️. No new Gnr music yet ? Still waiting for the right time ? Ha ! Aww I will always love em but ……… ❤️

Was a good gig, sound issues yes for the first few songs. Axl stopped song during Estranged to ask what a guy at the front in the middle was shouting (I was right at front just to the right). He then realised he was shouting about the sound being shit. You couldn't really hear Axl or Slash, bass was way too loud. But once they knew about it they fixed it and sound was great after that. I thought Axl sounded good. Was shorter than normal set but to be honest, due to the issues getting in meaning we were basically stood up for about 7 hours I don't think anyone minded. Here's to a good show tonight, wish I was going again.

GnR Scouse yeah take your point but our party all spent nearly 400 pound each on ticket, train, hotel. Looked forward for 3 years is it now? We all felt a bit stiffed at a reduced set/show in comparison to other shows and terrible sound issues mostly. I don't think they were totally sorted. I couldnt hear Richard until at least RQ. Axls mic was quiet. Whole sound was low. First gig in my life I've not had ringing in my ears afterwards.  The packed train on the way back to London hotel all felt the same. Look we had a good time, we made the most of it. Nonetheless, we were a bit stiffed however way you look at it. Can't blame the band for the sound but you'd think they would give us a bit of a bonus for the shit that went on outside. They must have been aware of the delays. Just my two cents.

If anyone has a t-shirt from this gig - preferably the specific show date items - that they'd be willing to sell, please let me know.

All the merch stands had closed by the time I got into the venue.
