Title: The Value, importance and unique chemistry of the original GNR Line Up.
Post by: Carlos Gunner on March 16, 2023, 01:43:47 PM
Hi!

I was watching short videos on Facebook the other day when I came across one of Axl talking about Queen, the band.

In this video, Axl recognizes the importance and value of the 4 ORIGINAL members of Queen and the greatness they have created over "2 decades" with a UNIQUE CHEMISTRY.

And the question is the same: Why does Axl not recognize the value and importance of the original GNR lineup?

I think Guns N'Roses was the closest to the perfect Rock N' Roll band there was, and that they reached their peak with the original line up including also Matt Sorum, and that everything later after, even though it could be good, was downhill. Like Chinese Democracy which was an excellent album but can not be compared to the greatness and success of the work of the original lineup.

It is apparent it is mostly in Axl's hands to provide a reunion which he never mentions or talks about, there is secrecy about it.

I think Axl should realize, that some of us, NEED an explanation of why a reunion is not happening. I am not saying that he OWES us an explanation, but he kind of does.

We should at least have things clear, which ARE NOT until today, since things are usually unclear and frustrating with Guns N' Roses and its management.

happy birthday Jarmo  :hihi:

Thank you! :D

I think Axl should realize, that some of us, NEED an explanation of why a reunion is not happening. I am not saying that he OWES us an explanation, but he kind of does.

#1: Axl doesn't owe us anything.
#2: People grow apart. Not every friend you had when you were 20 is going to be your friend when you're 30, 40 or later. It happens. Sometimes you quit a job because you don't like it anymore. These things happen for everyone, so why do you think bands would be different? Did you know people in bands who used to live together in a small house usually buy their own houses when they make some money? I was never in a band, but I can imagine it's like any other relationship in life. Sometimes people can't stay together.

I agree with Jarmo.  It's like Izzy said, it's good to see them but I wouldn't want to be them.  Something like that when he joined up with them during the UYI tour.

And while were on the subject of chemistry in a group, just like to give a shot out to my college roommates.  Okay fine, I still smoke but you drink and do drugs and I retired before you!   :hihi:  It's good to see them every few years and no we're still not telling the kids.  That goes without saying.

We deserve it.

You deserve someone to explain private details about their life because you like the band they were in together?

These are people and their lives. Maybe it's personal.

Respect that.

I think the whole band would love a reunion but Axl.

A good friend is one who asks you the hardest questions with the intention to help.

Sorry man but I always hate comments like this.
No one owes you anything. I will never understand why anyone has to explain who they are and why they make the choices they do. Respect them or move on.
I have been a true fan sense their music hit the airwaves and I have never questioned why any of it happened. I choose to fallow whatever Axl's plan was. Some didn't.

It is ok, ultimately it is not like this is gonna change anything  unless Axl reads it
He realized the power of the combination of the original members of Queen, he should realize the same happened with his band

We deserve it.

Now that's entitlement if I've ever seen it.

Sure.

All these people have friends. They can talk about personal things with their families and friends.

They don't owe the fans to do it if they don't want to.

It amazes me how often people just repeat the exact same things they hear other people say. No independent thought, just joining the chorus to beat the same dead horse once again. "Axl is a dictator!" "Izzy was the mastermind behind it all!". Yawn.

Now I thought I used to post a lot of rubbish on here. Glad to see someone else is picking up my old slack! :)

can you imagine for 5 seconds *maybe* Axl wasn't the most opposed to Izzy's return?
we don't know anything, but imagine, for example, that it was Duff who didn't want Izzy to be paid the same as the others?

But, but... Axl...

Exactly, we know nothing. Could've been all of them, including Izzy.
