What album do you think is better? The Sphaggeti Incident or Contraband? Personally I think Contraband is better even though I don't own it because I don't really like them but I think that CB is better than SPI? because, frankly SPI? is the biggest fuckin' dissapointment GN'R ever made. I bought it about a week ago and I'm like ''this is shit. really. what were they thinking when they chose to cover songs by bands most people never even heard about.'' It was kinda a letdown and apparently so is contraband. So which album do you think is better?

it all depends. if you like punk rock (like me) then it kicks ass! i love the damned, uk subs, iggy pop and etc covers. but if you are more into appetite/lies or the bullshitness of use your illusion, then you probably wont like it. personally, its my favorite GN'R cd.  beer

It's most definetly a punk album, thats for sure but I just question why they chose the songs they chose. Come On, listen to ''Down on the Farm'', whats with Axl doing a fuckin' english accent for? He sounds fucking terrible. There are only 2 decent songs on it, Aint it Fun and You can't put your arms around a memory but the latter could have been better with Duff maybe sounding less drunk like a skunk and better guitars. But whatever. It is so far my least favourite album.

no comparison between them.

IMO, Covers are the sign of a wilt, a slump, a drought, a lean crop, an exhaustion and a drain on the creativity n chemistry of the band. though I do like some punk music, I prefer original works.
I like covers only when they?re totally different from the originals. like, say, led zeppelin version of London calling?

It sounded on the album like the band had nothing left to lose. On SIDHY they sound tired, exausted and downright unpassionate about the song like they have been with so many others.

personaly, TSI is my least fav gnr album, bc thier original stuff is da bomb.  however, I can appreciate it, and I enjoy listening to it every once in awhile.  i personally only like the songs axl sings on.  i love since i dont have you, i really like i dont care about you (funny), down on the farm, black leather, aint it fun (really amazing song), hair of the dog (catchy)....
however, i will always like originals, so maybe i should try and find these original tracks (although punk isn't my cut of tea).....
i say, lets just be glad that they put this out....it was sorta to tie us over until chinese democ.  haha!
as for contraband: I love all the 3 ballads/slower songs (amazing!)  Superhuman is my absolutely fav track on that.  slither is kwel.  and there are others that rock out.  however, I don't listen to it that often.  but it is definatly the best ex/solo gnr cd out there (slash's snake pit "its 5:00 somewhere" comes in second).
so out of the two of em....I would say.....hmmm......Contraband since it's original material, and VR rock (!!!) playing this stuff live!  I'm really proud of em Smiley

CB obviously, bcoz SPI was sort of an 'experiment' album, where each member selected the songs they liked-> Not original.

Ah there's nothing wrong with TSI, it's a great album. It wasn't a bad thing for the band to do 2 years previously they released 30 new songs for god sakes what more could u ask for. Give them time to write some new material and record.

TSI is my choice over contraband

I think these albums are in a same level. There are fast rockin' songs and few slower ones.
I'll have to flip a coin on this one...

Allthough I have TSI since 95, I didn't like it very much until a few months ago. I don't know what happened, but now I can't get enough of it!! It's punk sang by a band with talent Grin  and I like it much more than CB

i thought i was a hardcore GNR fan

but it truly takes a die hard fan in my opinion to choose TSI over contraband

i like some songs off TSI but its nowhere in the league of CB to me.

SIDHY "unpassionate" -- ?!  Shocked Shocked

That happens to be one of my favorite songs for the reason that it is in fact very passionate and heartfelt. Then again, I'm one of the few GNR fans who adores SIDHY.  love
