In todays Finnish newspaper called Iltalehti there was a story that Velvet Revolver has broked up!
Can anyone confirm this??

I?m pretty shocked if it?s true.

they didn't break up..

VR is NOT breaking up!
Contrary to some tough internet rumours and speculation by Finnish magazine 'Iltalehti', the band is NOT breaking up! Even though the band have cancelled some European shows after the Live8 benefit (more info & official statements will probably follow soon), they are only taking a break from the exhausting tour that they've been on for over a year, so they can rock the U.S. even better after a well-deserved break.

that shit is spreading like wild fire.. My favorite thing has to be the guys who never post in the vr section, and if they do it's always negative then they are the first one's to report this news and even post it in some of the gnr sections. Like to say Ha Ha my band is still around vr is no more hihi

Each day some people must stick their voodoo dolls praying something bad will happen to vr or new gnr,, rofl

Yeah... I just heard my self about the cancellation of Ruisrock, the Finnish festival. Kinda weird to cancel shows that prolly have sold well, especially festivals.

I was looking forward to going there and seeing them live for the second time. But hopefully they'll put out an official announcement soon about what's going on.

they already did. they've been touring nonstop for 2yrs. They need a rest. It makes more sense for them to cancel finland than the UK or US, unfortunately for you guys, so they can rest for a couple days.

I have a ticket to Ruisrock and VR was the only reason why I bought it.

Yeah but what doesn't make sense is to book dates if you can't keep 'em... And the thing with festival tickets is that unlike normal concerts, people can't have their money back for a ticket they've bought over a single cancellation.

I guess with two young ones Slash and the other guys might want some time off before the next album early next year (well that's when Scott wants a new album out anyway). Plus they'll be in the studio for a while recording.
