Despite the group going downhill recently, Tragic Kingdom was a pretty good CD. Hell, Tragic Kingdom was a pretty good song (although we know the reason why it would never get played too often on the radio, as it's a pretty direct attack on Disney)

But yeah.. Tragic Kingdom is a good CD. Just saying.

no doubt's tragic kingdom.. yeah man..... i don't really know what to do with it.
gwen stefani's atrocious solo music has left such a great distaste in my mouth that when i was sorting through my cds a while ago, my instinct was to well, put the cd in my closet or something. but i couldn't, i looked at the track list and remembered that at one point in time, they were actually a good/decent band. it's so long ago it's hard to even remember.

and now i just have a deep hatred (or intense dislike) for gwen and her horrible bananas music. there was a time when i actually idolized her, and now well, yeah.... you know how these things are.

I know this thread is dedicated to "Tragic Kingdom"... but I've been listening to Rock Steady a lot in the past week.  I think seeing the "Luxurious" video made me want to listen to some No Doubt (Gwen looks amazing in that video, btw).  This CD is so good... I love the reggae influence and their use of keyboards.  I'd put Rock Steady just a slight bit ahead of Tragic Kingdom.

When that album came out in 96' it was all cool, i liked em',  n' they had there style n' image n' it was wicked ok
Hot as singer drool n' talented band beer

I liked the song that was on the GO soundtrack (cant rembr right now) n' the follow up wasnt to bad neither! ok

Rock Steady just pissed me off...big time Angry, Keep On Dancin' (whatever its called) was cool when your on ext or somethin', but  they just turned into everythin' els...fuckin' bullshit it was.
I can prbly see that the band were presured into that image or whatever....but here we have Gwen actin' like a fuckin' HO   in her solo shit, which puts me down when i see it 'cause i miss the way she was!!
i  fuckin' cring everytime i see or hear it man.......i just cant believe she turned into one of them!!!!

But anyway, i like to remember No Doubt from the Tragic Kingdom era, thats when they were themselves!!!! ok

Yeah the early stuff was listenable when she was a rock chick.. then they started doing that 'hey baby' stuff which was a sign of awful things to come from Gwen.

Their latests album was just awful stuff.....and now Gwen is releasing this horrendous solo stuff - what is she thinking? Probably about money - but its not as if No Doubt where unsuccessful - she has a Diamond album as it is!

Sad how money warps peoples minds

Comedy is tragedy plus time

I really liked No Doubt and their Tragic Kingdom, and the Return of the Saturn. Not really a fan of the "Hey Baby"-thing. But I do like, in some perverted way Gwen's solomaterial.. And Izzy? How do you know that it's money that's made her do the kind of music she does now? Maybe she just likes what she's doing?
