Elastica

Does anyone else love this band as much as I do? For those that never heard of them, Elastica is a girl band(plus one guy) that came out in the mid 90's. Kinda like British alt-punk or something. I love their style. To me they're kinda like a female version of AFD era GNR. Especially their first album. They only have a few albums. Their self titled LP, The Menace, and a demos/unreleased songs album called The Radio One Sessions cd. You guys should check them out. They broke up several years ago, unfortunately. But the music lives on!

I bought both their albums a few months ago because I am a huge fan of Garbage, and Elastica are said to sound like them. I think they were a cool band, too bad both their CDs are out-of-print, you habe to buy em used. I sort of remember the name Elastica wayy back in the day. If you like them, also check out Garbage, The Curve, and Republica.

I like Garbage also, but I think Elastica were better. Its a shame that they didn't get more popular. I think people quickly losing interest contributed to the band's demise.

They may not be the most famous band in the world, but their s/t album is considered a 90s classic. Make sure to check out Curve!

hey! do you remember "Republica- ready to Go" in the mid 90's? the femal singer had red hair, it was a kick ass rock song!
