Some news from some dude's posting on myspace... don't have any clue if it's accurate or not, but figured it's worth discussing. Also, here's the million dollar question: is he referring to adler or sorum? my money's on sorum, since he ran into axl in NYC recently...

[edit for clarification: i don't think he's actually in the studio with sorum, but sorum might've shown up one day briefly while in nyc after the two met. i think his source just might've exaggerated that whole part]

axl rose has been floating thru new york this week hitting the streets and closing the clubs.. he has been hitting the heads up in the club then inviting people back to the studio to listen to the chinese democracy joint.. fyi, my man (who shall remain anonymo) said that rosie has some bangers and that there are a couple straight gnr tunes as well.. a lot of sampling of live instruments and a lot of big beats is how it was described to me.. he is also in the studio with the drummer that was considered to be the driving force of some of the bands best work.. first time together in the studio in like 15 years. anyway this is just some earsay..knaw mean..

Absolute shit.  I certainly hope nobody is stupid enough to believe any part of this crap.Until there is official word directly from axls mouth, i wouldnt believe anything in relation to CD.

I didn't think either Adler or Sorum were considered the driving force behind anything tbh, Axls been quoted as saying Adler didnt write a note on AFD, and UYI was written before Sorum arrived, he just recorded the material. So I'm taking a wild guess that this just might be BS.  Wink

so Axl made the beats for all the albums? yeah, that makes sense.
even if they didn't write any riffs or melodies, they still made the drumparts, something Axl has absolutely no respect for, the idiot.
