I have a DVD stuck in my DVD-ROM on my computer, and I click the eject button, and it just doesnt recognize. Its been liket his for over 2 months  Cry

Does anyone know how to fix this? I'd really appreciate if someone could try and help me out heree...

Try opening the tower, and see if you can manually eject it. I may be talking out my ass, though, since I don't know much about that stuff.

The thing is I dont want to unscrew the whole computer and go through all the wires and shit.. but if its my only option, i may have to give it a try.. Theres gotta be a computer whiz on this site... ill give it a few days of responses before I start messing with the inside of the computer yes

sounds weird but... what sometimes helped for me was to open Nero burning rom and use the eject medium option in there.

Just get a screw driver and force it open. DVD-ROM drives are dirt cheap now.

I tried the Nero thing, and you could tell it was trying to open, as it was making noises, but it wouldnt open. It's got to be stuck on something. Thanks for the thought though..

I'd be willing to try the screwdrive thing, but would that jst break it? and then od have to get someone to coem out and install another one Sad

Gunner80. Your god. I litterally put the screwdriver on top of the drive and pushed it up, not even hard and the thing flings open. You rock dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, very true.. but I'm very happy now, because  iv'e wanted it open since about May  Roll Eyes

and I litterally fixed the problem in 3 seconds  hihi
