Sorry if this should be in the "tour" section. I just wanted to see how many people on this board got screwed by ticketmaster/ st. pete times forum with the pre-sale.
If you got tickets on the floor the day of the presale, you were given a row and a seat  number.
They have now changed the entire floor to general admission. I had 10th row floor, I'd hate to have gotten front row, only to be told it was now gen admin. Sorry if I am posting this all over, I am super excited about going to the show, I'm not bitching. Who else had "good floor seats"?

I'm hoping all these US shows have GA floors, way better for a rock show and Axl seems to be in a better mood when the crowd has some energy to it and not just sitting there. Sucks that the presale gave out tickets with assigned seats but you can get closer now if you really want to.

You now have a much better chance at being closer than 10th row.

i would call that a bonus...

maybe front row in the middle on the third gid would be different, but...

just enjoy it man, you'll have a kick ass time no matter what. ok

Very true! Check out ebay, scalpers are still selling them for the tampa show like they actually have floor seats. Can you imagine if you used the pre-sale, and actually got front row seats?Huh I would have been dancing around all weekend going crazy, then to find out ticketmaster is replacing all assigned floor seats with gen admission, damn.....I feel so bad for those guys that had front row.
But like you said, I'm getting there early, campin' out, not eating or drinking so I don't have to go to the bathroom during the show, and then sprinting to the front of the stage when the doors open.
I'm going to start 100 yard sprint training today yes

Im in the 14th row left section for Jax. Id rather have a seat than get stuck in the back should I not get there several hours early. Ill be on my feet for the whole GNR performance, but do I want to stand for Phantom Planet's whole set( or whoever else will be opening?) Huh? .  I hope they keep floor seats.

It's really not that hard to get up front. I went too Ozzfest one year, and got right up to the very front, it was all general admission, and there were 60,000 people there. If theres a will theres a way. Just start working your way up during the opening band, and in no time you'll be really close, then, as soon as Jungle starts goin, everyone will start jumping, use that to your advantage and by the middle of jungle you'll be in the front three rows of people.

That's what sucks. When you don't get there early enough and you end up stuck in the back and I'm only 5'2. But hopefully being that short can work to my advantage and I can just sneak through some people...

Yeah, but then when the show starts 3 hours late you pass out from lack of food and water and miss the whole show...  Shocked

You're just gonna have to prepare for that then if you're worried about that.  You know what helps lack of food and water.  Try eating some food and drinking some water.  That works for me everytime.

I don't think this is true (but it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong). If yousearch for tickets by clicking the $75 tickets and then main floor, there are none. If you do $75 and "best available" you get general admission. If you look at general admission, it states that the tickets (under description) are on the first level. You'll note that the St. Pete Times Forum has these levels: Main, First, second and third.
OK, a friend of minelast Saturday tried to get two tickets on the main floor next to each other and they would only give him one (since they weren't next to each other). When he did "best available" he got general admission. This could either be a glitch or it could mean there's a general admission section that's not on the floor. I guess someone should call.

I dunno. That's weird. I got some tix in Plaza section close to the stage, it says on the website that Plaza is their low-level seating.

But as for floor, I just assumed that was a glitch for floor seats. All of these Guns shows have been turning GA into nothing but standing room floor.

I was looking on ebay just to see how much tickets were going for, some asshole is still selling floor seats and saying there is 12 rows of seats in front of the general admission. I don't see how this could be possible. Is there any chance that they would give only 12 rows of seats to fan club members? I had 2 tickets 10th row but told them to cancel my order because I wasn't going to put my wife on the floor in gen admin. I kept one ticket and now have gen admin. floor I will be so pissed to find out that there actually is seats for those that used the presale.

That's shitty for some people and works out better for others.  I'd rather know why I'm buying when I pay for it and keep it that way... but if it works to your advantage, then laugh all the way to the bank  peace

I got my tickets the other day and they say I have the seats I paid for, not general admission, but you never know until you get there. I don't think it's too big of a deal, anyway. If you want to get close and you're on the floor you can pretty much get up there once the show starts. It's not like people are sitting down.

I, too, would love to know what exactly the heck is going on with the floor situation.  Livenation shows GA for MSG, but assigned/reserved seats for NJ.  Someone on mygnr forum said they called MSG and was told the front 4 sections were GA, then it was seats.  This seems contradictory on a multitude of levels.  How very Guns N Roses!
Any ideas?

I called ticketmaster today, now they are saying there will be 12 rows of seats then general admission. This is turning into another tour nightmare no
