Kurt Loder Can you ever imagine yourself doing a solo album, can you ever imagine finding a band that is for you what Guns N' Roses is?
Axl Rose No. I can imagine finding people that play really good that I wanna do songs with and see bout possibly putting a solo project together at some point, but, not getting the same effect. But I cant really see trying to duplicate what Guns N Roses is because Guns N Rose is so much more then we ever taught it would be...its actually like a dream band...its actually like the...hummingbird [Axl points to his right], wow, oh its gone!

I always seen this as quite a profilic comment given the current circumstances, I still dont know whether I'd take Axl's last few words in that sentence as a way for him to avoid answering that question, or whether the answer he really wanted to give was that as long as he could play the songs and retain the name he'd play with anyone

i dont think he'll play with just anyone..  the guys that are in the band now are all more talented than the guys they replaced.   i'd say Axl has high-standards indeed.

Pretty such so yeah, but I wanted to point out how 1. He didnt seem to want to answer that question and 2. He even understood that the possibility of implosion for the band was going to happen

I think thats why hes been taking so long on the CD, because it represents a completely new flower grown from seed, and will have virtually nothing to do with the old movement at all

yea, the band members aren't "anyone". They've been in the band for 5+ years now (excluding Thal and Frank), they're more talented than the guys they replaced. They aren't just random guys replacing other guys, they're better than 'em (I know people will cry cause of this comment, lol).

I agree Axl would be very picky about who he plays with. In terms of talent...I think both bands are incrediable in different ways and that it'd be incorrect to say one has more talent than another.
