The Grammy's would never ask GNR to come, they get bands who are popular not who were popular.? For most people it would be horrible, sure we'd like it, but the Grammy's appeal to people who listened to Milli Vanilli, GnR right now to them, would be like a Manuto surprise performance to us.? Sorry guys some of you need to wake up and realize its not 1992 anymore and the majority of the world does nto care about GNR.

Just like their performance on the 2002 VMA's?  Roll Eyes

VMA's have a much different audience and a different atmosphere than the Grammy's.  Also, people still make fun of the GNR performance on the VMA's.  All you have to do is look at the outfits at both and look what stations the two are on.  If people didnt like the 2002 VMA's (whichi s watched primarily by 18-30 yo's) then people would hate GnR at the Grammys in 2007 which has a much more broad age range.  I would bet that about 60% of the grammy watching audience could not tell you the lead singer of GNR, let alone want to hear the new band play.  The fact is the Grammy's get people with new music then and bands like the Police or they put on big original acts with like Robin Williams singing "Blame Canada."

I would bet the Grammy audience are more familiar with Axl than a MTV audience nowadays.

I'm not saying I believe GN'R actually will perform at the Grammy's, but if they do, I think it will be well received.

More people recognize Flavor Flave now and he has a better chance of being asked to perform by the Grammy's than Axl.

I hate the fuckin Grammy's, always have. They are the worst fuckin award show. They give away the awards to the dumbest nominee's ever. I remember when Dr.Feelgood and ...And Justice For All were up for Rock/Hard Rock and Jethro Tull won.

What gives? What a bunch of assholes. Motley and Metallica are not my favourite bands.... but for the love of god!

By the way the show is boring as hell. I almost died the other year waiting for VR and freinds play Across the Universe.

Every year they decide who's nuts to swing from and they win Everything ie Clapton, Mariah , Norah Jones, and whoever else.

Fuck the Grammy's

It would be way better to go play The damn Whiskey live on MTV. The day before the fuckin Grammy's ?

I think a surprise performance in broad daylight would be much more effective than appearing on a late night comedy show.. Undecided

A "Where The Streets Have No Name" approach? Yeah, that'd be pretty cool.

Nice to see were on the same wavelength Wink

NO way, one they've never won a grammy plus The Grammy's arent gonna have the Police and GNR and seeing as GNR have already came back with an 06 tour, they really wouldnt be a surprise anymore like they were at the VMA's.

personally, I think GNR is too big to perform in SNL.
Too small is probably closer to the mark.

naw i think they are too big for SNL and it would just give them much more of a sellout image if they performed on that show.  seriously it sucks i hope gnr isnt part of any of this tv crap

what do you guys think? I think it would be great to perform 'better' live since (hopefully) it will be a single out by then.
just thinking...

peace out.

grammys are for known bands, sure the name is the same but the music we know no one else does.. You also should have accomplished something song and record wise to appear IMO..

these guys need their own merit already and release an album..

To be honest, any award or TV show would be nice to see them on
