Patrick Killen, spokesman for Nevada Child Abuse Prevention, said video game addiction's correlation to child abuse is "a new spin on an old problem."
"As we become more technologically advanced, there's more distractions," Killen said. "It's easy for someone to get addicted to something and neglect their children. Whether it's video games or meth, it's a serious issue, and (we) need to become more aware of it."
What the fuck? That's their official stance, that it's just getting easier and easier to be lulled into child neglect by the allure of Dungeons & Dragons?!
"Yes, we've investigated this problem extensively and so far we are able to conclude that this problem is most prevalent among Level 19 Elemental Summoners with water or air affinities, though the increasing number of cases among both Lawn Gnomes and Fighter Mages is an additional cause for concern. Especially the Lawn Gnomes on meth."
