Is anyone else a fan of this band?
There new album, 'Riot City Blues',? is out June 5th and promises to be a return to the rock n roll times of 94's "Give Out But Don't Give Up".
You may have heard of "Rocks or Jailbird" off that album or their new single "Country girl".
I have Dirty Hits which is a good introduction to the band even if their experimental dance stuff sometimes overpowers the decent stonesesque rock stuff.
Anyway good band and decent live so check em out
Alternatively don't and see the worlds greatest ever band live on June 7th instead- see you there.

Country Girl is an ace song. I hope their new album has a lot more songs like that on it.

Country Girl is quality
I've been meaning to pick up Screamadelica sometime as it has Higher Than The Sun on it, I love that track.

one of my absolute favorite bands.
in my mind everything they've ever did is a great statement to the power of inventive alternative thinking in art.
Screamadellica and XTRMNTR are near enough perfect albums.
Give Out... is great if u're a fan, just for appreciating how much guts they had in putting smth completrely differnt from thei big hit album
evryone of their releases has had a big goal in mind n w/ the general disenchantment for what's goin on in music at any given time, i respect that a lot

i really dig these guys. Heard there singles off Screamadelica years ago via adverts and GTA San Andreas. Checked out albums last year. Continued to check out more.
I think Screamdelica and Vanishing Point are fucking wicked albums.
I dont get why they class Exterminator as a definitive album by the band though...i really dont dig on the musical direction they took there.

A flat out great band - Bobby Gillespie is one of the best song writers of his era.
Ace indeed.
