can anyone please advise me on how to do this? I winamp, but becasue Im currently run out of Mind bending drugs. I still cannot get it to convert the files.
is there any other ways......... preferably SIMPLE ways of coverting these files?

install this software:

http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm

then right click on the mp3 file you wanna convert, select the FLAC option, and that's it

I dont remember if the standard dbpoweramp installation pack includes the FLAC plugin. Anyway, here's the link to it if you need it:

http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-flac.htm

in that ''codec central'' you will find all popular plugins to convert everything into everything. Just install 'em all.

The way i convert flac to mp3 is first i use foobar2000 to decode the flca to wav. Then i use dbpoweramp to convert to mp3. I should note the mp3 plugin for dbpoweramp is not free it only has a 30 day free trial i think.

Yes always is when converting to mp3 no matter what format it was in previously.
