i dont mind snakes at all.  friend of mine at home in scotland was training to be a vet years ago and had a python and a small boa (amongst other unusual pets) - I had no problem with them, though their tanks smell a bit.  have also handled (part of) an indian python.  That mother was so long, it took several people to hold it uncoiled!  Man it was heavy on my shoulders, but I love how they move.

Spiders on the other hand....oh my god.  cant handle them at all.  Had one of the biggest bastards I've ever seen in the UK on my goddamn ARM the other day when I was reaching for a cat toy under the sofa.  This thing must have been on steroids, fkn huge. Y' know the ones that make a noise when they drop on the floor...and then rise up on stilt-legs..  horrible horrible.  I cant even deal with small ones either.

last night my girlfriend said that her cats would be sleeping in the room, i was like no fkn way, then she got one of the cats there in our bed while she was petting it and stuff and it was clawing me and i got muscle pains just because i was laying being i dunno terrified + the swetting so after a while she threw the cat out of the room but still, that was probably the worst moment ever in a bed i told her i'd rather sleep with a snake next to me then a cat, disgusting fucking monsters with their sandpaper tongues and all, yuck
