It is in The Dirt as well, Sixx says that he was so fucked up at the time and really struggling with writing material for girls... but that Zutauts confidence in him (asking him to produce AFD) motivated him to write and finnishing the album.

I'm sure i remember Nikki talking about this years ago in Kerrang magazine. Around the time Crue released the album with John Corabi singing for them.

Interestingly he thought that album would be as good as AFD!  rofl

I just last night finished the book.  I would have to rate it an excellent read.  I really never paid alot of attention to the band members of Motley Crue over and above knowing their names, or never had any wonderment in regards to their personal lives.  It was a book I could barely put down.  It is very very sad that a person of such great talent with such a passion for music lived through so many years of complete darkness, never feeling loved but only abandonment by his family and those closest to him.  A person who didn't care if they were to live or die, a person who actually cheated death many times and lives to tell of the horrifying experiences, a person living purely on the path of destruction and nothing else.  I could write my own book just on my own thoughts, but will stop here.

LOL whatever.  so as long as its an original lineup, they can make as shitty of music as they want?  no wonder you were banned.

Alot of work went into the production of AFD to make it sound the way it did.  ok

The CD sounds amazing, expecially considering where GNR was coming from in that stage of their career. Things could not have worked out any better.

I don't think Nikki Siix has ever produced any of the Motley Crue tracks.

The Crue minus their late 90s work, owns and ill accept no different opinion on the matter.

They rock just as good as gnr. And both deserve the respect they get.

I liked it a lot too, The Dirt was awesome also.

The slash-book is okay when you've read it a bit and he stops whining about how his parrents broke up and telling how he beat anyone in bmx.

I've almost finished it, it's not as good as heroin diaries, but I recomend it still.

hey if he wants to think 2008 crue is better than 2008 GnR, more power to him i guess  hihi  but to use "well the song sucks, but at least its a band's original lineup" as the argument makes no sense.    I dont think the song sucks but its nothing great and yea Better, CD, The Blues, etc blow it away.
