Yeah but through torrenting, u help spread it to thousands of others!

As I said, so far I haven't had a copy protected CD that I couldn't copy.   But hey, given the choice of some retard label trying to rootkit my machine or me downloading a torrent, easy choice.

the copy protection its a stupidity, it always affects the users that normaly do buy the cds, and the copys keep coming, they do not stop anyone who really wants to make ilegal copys.

i thought all cd's were copy protected, i saw that too but figured it was a standard cd

God no.

Having said that, I've purchased plenty of copy-protected CDs and never had an issue with ripping any of them.

yeah me too......thats why i said it was just a standard one.  i have many cd's that say copy protected and i have always managed to back them up and make copys for the car or rip them for my mobile etc. if im unable to make a back up as normal there are definately ways and means. the easiest way is to rip from the sound card and not from the disc.

Contraband had some sort of copy-protection that garbled the sound if you loaded it on iTunes... but there was a simple way of avoiding the copy protetction.  If you give it a few weeks, I'm sure the computer geeks will post a way around it all!

I agree with Howard, if I buy the CD... I wouldn't hestitate to download the torrent if it doesn't work on iTunes.
I bought Contraband and it copied onto my iTunes without any problems. I remember hearing about this protection thing but never had a problem putting any cds onto my ipod

That's true, and that's the reason why I don't get these protections. But hey, I have a bunch of copy protected cd's and I've always managed to get them on my iPod with no problems.

I've never really had any problems copying a cd to my itunes thus far.     If the vinyl copies come with a digital then I still won't have any problems haha  Grin

surely it would be market suicide to start releasing cd's that cannot be put onto mp3 players? especially with the way music is going at the moment anyway.

Guys just turn autorun off in your control panel before you put the disc in.  Problem solved.
