I was thinking about buying my mom cd as a christmas present. She is a fan of the old g'nr but not sure if she will like this one. What do you guys think? Should I buy it for her?

you could add a note saying something along the lines that you remember her telling you that she was a fan back-in-the-day. Mom's like it when they find out their kids actually did pay attention to them when they said something ... reading that will probably be almost as good a gift for her as CD!!!
