I hope this doesnt ruin some of Marvels movie projects, like Disney trying to make them more appealing for children. Otherwise the potential for distribution on a worldwide scale for all the Marvel merchandise and characters is limitless.

I don't think anything like that will happen. Disney owns a
lot
of stuff, including ABC... and they can hardly be accused of dumbing down shows like Lost to appeal to children. It just feels like a response to Warner Bros. buying DC a few years back.
