I heard that new Kelly Clarkson song on the radio and I thought she was singing about women's liberation rights or something, because I could've sworn she was singing:

"woah woah, I do not cook, woah woah, I don't sew"

Turns out she was singing this:
"woah woah, I do not hook, up, up, I go slow"

 hihi hihi hihi

It's So Easy--

Misheard - It feels so right, when I fade into the night
Correct - It fits so right, when I fade into the night

Rolling Stones -- Miss You

Misheard -- I've been hauling ass along,
Correct -- I've been holding on so long,

Black Sabbath -- Paranoid

Misheard - I tell you to end your life, I wish I could, but it's too late
Correct - I tell you to enjoy life, I wish I could, but it's too late

I only recently found out that in The Killers' Mr. Brightside, the line is "open up my eager eyes" and I thought it was "open up my evil eyes". I prefer "evil" TBH. Grin

From KissTheGuy.com:

Bryan Adams "Summer Of 69":

Got my first real sex dream,
I was 5 at the time.
Played it till my fingers bled.
It was the summer of 69.

and...

Standing on your mother's corpse,
You told me that you'd wait forever.
Oh, and with the hammer in my hand,
I knew that it was now or never.

I suppose, but remember that English isn't the native language for a lot of posters...

And most importantly, English isn't the native tongue for a lot of singers, either... Also, words sound way different when they're sung, especially depending on the amount of emotion etc. that has been put on the vocal delivery.

found this site when i was surfing around a little, it was about how different people have misheard lyrics to songs and singing their versions and stuff and how they found out the right lyrics

and if we all were honest, we have all done that sang wrong lyrics, so if you remember when you yourself has corrected somebody or you have been corrected please post it, it's real funny.

like one guy thought Paradise city went (copy paste thingie)
"The real lyrics were:
Turn me around and
take me back to the start

But I misheard them as:
Don't be a rabbit,
take me back to the start
"
another guy thought "take me down to a very nice city"

so like i said if you have any experience of this please post, and yeah here is the site http://www.kissthisguy.com/ and if you find anything funny there post it here also.. yeah you guys get it Wink

another funny one: marilyn manson - "the beautiful people" but the person sang "just gimme the meatball" rofl
one person sang "where's my asian friend" the real lyrics are "what's my age again" from blink 182
one guy that right next door to hell was, "redneck go to hell"

this next is from FreakShow at gnr2k.com

Nine Inch Nails: Closer

The real lyrics were:
I want to f*ck you like an animal
You get me closer to god

But I misheard them as:
I want a duck shaped like a triangle
You give a toaster to Bob

and to be fair, one of my own were:
"trapped in america but where's my partner"

but we all know it is "Capitain America's been torn apart now"

please post your own or funny ones you find at that site headbanger
Right Next Door to Hell one cracked me up rofl rofl rofl

I've been thinking that the opening lines to The Stone Roses' Love Spreads were "Love spreads around/Waits there for the neighbours", but it turns out it's actually "Love spreads her arms/Waits there for the nails". The real version is probably better.... Grin

blink 182 - what's my age again

real lyrics:
I took her out, it was a Friday night
I wore cologne to get the feeling right

my version:
I took her out, it was a Friday night
I walked alone to get the feeling right

never made any sense to me that he took her out, but walked alone Grin
