There is a slight similarity to Papparazzi in the melody to one line. That's it! Out of the entire songs, that's all there is!

good music can be found anywhere, when you realize that, your life will become much richer!

lady gaga is very talented and has some good songs (but most are shitty), mentioning the similarity is not slamming the song or that part, not for me at least.. and it's not like lady gaga was the first with that melody, someone mentioned berlin's take my breath away as another example

Ummm, it just so happens that one line is the hook in both songs.

Kinda important........

The hook in both songs is more than one line. If you can find me a completely original melody that isn't in someway similar to anything else ever written, I'd sure like to hear it.

The hooks in both songs have a striking similarity. It is a big part of what makes a song a hit. In fact, after hearing it again, almost the entire chorus of BD's vocal melody up to the point where it flattens out sounds like the first half Paparazzi's chorus.

Original melody? November Rain? Madagascar?

In one sweep I am going to make myself the least popular guy on this board: Let Fergie front the live band.

Fucking kick ass song and vocals. She's got a great set of...pipes! Get your mind outta the gutter.  Smiley

I do agree with this. It'd do her good to get away from the Black-Eyed Peas, too. (Individually, they're all very talented people, but their joint musical output has been getting steadily worse).

Yes, I agree about the BEP. I actually liked the stuff they did in the early-mid nineties the best, before Fergie. But I was also sitting here listening to Beautiful Dangerous and it occurred to me that I would've loved to hear her sing a version By the Sword.  That got me thinking about who's doing it live and since I'm not a big fan of Myles, I started to wonder what other singers on this album could do a good job with these songs live, and she was the first singer that came to mind. The more I think about it, the more I would love to see it happen at some point. But hey, if Slash records a rock album with Fergie, who knows...?

I just listened to this.   Pretty good. Takes about a min. to get good but I like the pre-chorus the chorus and the solo.  Slash sounds really good.  I don't really like the verse, that part kind of reminds me of Alanis Morsette lol  After first listen I would rate this a 'B'.

To everyone talking about how it sounds like a stripper anthem , random bit of info. Slash was just on KROQ and said that the song originated as part of a movie score for a scene that was in a strip club.
