Camp Freddy performed at the opening of The Redbury Hotel in Hollywood last night.  Matt Sorum, Gilby Clarke, Dave Navarro, Chris Chaney, Donovan Leitch, Billy Morrison and Franky Perez performed.

LA?s Redbury Celebrates Grand Opening with Opulence

The party?s vibe was playful, with models? garb landing somewhere between Marie Antoinette and an Acid trip. Several guests commented on what a nice job it might be to be paid to sit and look pretty. SBE secured permits to have Dave Navarro?s ?hip? cover band Camp Freddy play inside a ballroom, and Macy Gray sang a tune with the band. But most people (everyone from Los Angeles? Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa to Lance Bass) seemed content to simply drink, eat and meander throughout the hotel across, the street from the iconic Capitol Records building.

CAMP FREDDY ? the Los Angeles-based "jam" group featuring Dave Navarro (JANE'S ADDICTION, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS), Billy Morrison (ex-THE CULT bassist, current CIRCUS DIABLO vocalist), Matt Sorum (VELVET REVOLVER, ex-GUNS N' ROSES), Donovan Leitch (son of legendary folk singer Donovan), and Chris Chaney (JANE'S ADDICTION, ALANIS MORRISETTE) ? performed at the grand-opening celebration for the Redbury hotel in Hollywood, California this past Wednesday night (October 20). The event was reportedly attended by over 800 or so invited guests.

The five-story Redbury hotel sits in the shadow of Capitol Records, the Pantages Theatre and the hotel's nearest competitor, the W Hollywood, according to the Los Angeles Times.
