We all know that GNR was on top in the early 90's, and it was almost a regular thing to have back to back shows in most cities, and i assume they sold out both nights.  didn't they have 3 in a row in L.A. at the forum one year?

My point is, what happened to this type of band?  I know gnr was on top of the world, but name another band in the last 10-15 years that sold out multiple nights in the same city.   Was the original crew that much more popular than anything today?  Does that say anything about the state of music today?  Just curious as to some discussion...

BTW: Damn i wish i would have caught a show in 91 or 92.

Bands these days have no idea what rock n roll is all about. Guns N' Roses can still pull massive sell out crouds so can Metallica and AC/DC and mant othe old school bands but these days the new bands dont have the inthusiastic fans or the Balls of these great bands who can rock the fuck out of any of these limp bizkets or korns or marilan mansons.

yeah, rock has sucked lately, i'm into modernizing and a remake of old hardrocks is not of intrest but most rockers today don't just don't work for me, there are some cool, intresting bands or old bands doing new material

I know the Dave Matthews Band sold out 4 back-to-back nights... I think it was in L.A.

"Yeah, but the Dave Matthews Band sucks!"

Whatever, they still did it... and their setlists are way more interesting than GN'Rs (or any band for that matter).
