Im actually surprised at Voodoo Child being number one.
SCOM is more iconic. put SCOM on in any bar around the world and MOST people will be very happy.

^lmfao.....Falungong69 is hilarious.....best comments ever.

well, there ARE multiple versions.  and different people have different opinions about which is best.  the article was probably not in-depth enough to explain the details about each version.

Please say you are joking?  There is only ONE version that the article could be talking about and you know it.  any "version" after that is a cover

guns n' roses has released three versions of the song.  to my knowledge, when a band plays its own song, it's not called a cover.

I don't believe there's a reason...

I dunno, but the studio version sucks. Whatever, that riff is overrated in many many ways - just like smoke on the water. Wink

Don't get me wrong fanboys, I really like it... but it is overrated. Sweet Child is overrated. Estranged is underrated. Breakdown is underrated. Smiley

off course it must be the very first official release, the Appetite version, the version aired on radio/tv (even if cutted down), the version everyone knows, the version which made the band more famous  ok
and the riff basically remains the same no matter what musician plays it.

I am still very confused about their being 3 versions of "Sweet Child O' Mine" released.  Other than the one on 'Appetite" where are the other ones released?  Are you guys talking about radio edits?  Thats not another version.
