Does anybody else remember the way the appetite for destruction tape smelled when you originally opened it?  Was this on purpose?  What do you think?

I'm not fucking crazy, the tape definetly had a smell.  I'm wondering if this was done on purpose, and what the smell was?  Please get back to me.

The cassette smelled like Jack Daniels and stale cigarettes when you opened it.

Why you ask? Because as one the best rock albums made, those were some of the most crucial ingredients in its recording.

Never bought the tape when it came out, only the record... Did buy the tape in  94 because I finally had a car with a cassette player and I don't remember any special smells
