Buckethead likes all the attention, he wants to be main robot and be in charge. In Gn'R he was simply a small part of the set, all be it an important part of the set.

Richard Fortus, the phenomenon

I still don't like that much the ultra-speed Buckethead's solo on IRS. It lacks feeling and soul. It's pretty cold. It's a good thing he left. Robin and Richard have more vibe.

I mean the guy has cult status at best. This material, from what we've heard, is awesome. I can't believe he left Gn'R.

To you techinical guys: From what you've heard, is Bucketheads parts going to be hard for Robin to replace (chord progression, solo's on IRS)?

how could he leave.. lets see maybe the guy saw nothing was ever moving forward, that he had to share lead with two other guys, axl controlled everything, everyone had to be quiet all the time, everyone had to keep redoing parts.. i can't imagine anyone wanting to leave that.. hihi

We can all say this...

But we don't know whats going on behind the scenes. All we know is that CD has been in production for about 12 years. So CD has been in production since I was 4 years old. Damn thats a long time ago.

I cant imagine how Axl and Bucket got along. Two very "unique" personalities to say the least. Its very obvious  Bucket is pretty much a loner and likes to do his own thing. He has collaborated with others but is primarily a solo artist.

I imagine being in Uncle Axl's army, like "The General" Tommy Stinson, requires a fair amount of being able to take orders, direction and checking your ego at the door.

Buckethead might not be the right fit for such an outfit.

i agree, my theory is that he has an authority issue...that's why he left.

I like bh, but I don't like the solo in IRS because then the song sounds more bh than gnr.

I don't think he left. he was probably fired.
in the last interview he said he doesn't want to piss of axl "again".
