WWE wrestler and rocker Chris Jericho...

- He says he can't wait for the new Ozzy record being worked on right now & says again that Zakk describes it as "AC/DC on steroids", which he says is how most of Rich Ward's records can be described. He says he don't know how you can describe any of Axl's [Rose] records like that, because Axl hasn't made a record in 10 years. He says Axl's still working on "Chinese Democracy" & says if he was Axl, he'd change the name of the record because it's almost a parody of itself. He says everyone's heard of it, but no one's really heard it, says it's supposed to come out this year & says he [Y2J] is supposed to chop his own penis off this year also.

- He says this is what we keep hearing, says he don't know who's in the band anymore, says he knows Buckethead [Brian Carroll], Brain [Brian Mantia] from Primus, Tommy Stinson from The Replacements was there for a while & says this calvacade of ramshackled, 2 bit musician has-beens. He says as to who's now in the band & when it'll be released, he has no idea & says as for Velvet Revolver, there's rumors that Slash's left, then returned & says he has no clue.

- He then asks as to whatever happened to our happy little gang of misfits known as Guns 'N' Roses who took the world by storm, then again says Axl will release new material as well as Velvet Revolver may release new material, says he don't know & says all he's got are memories. He then sings the Bob Hope song "Thanks For The Memories", then tries to do a Dolly Parton version of the song, says that was terrible, wonders as to what's wrong with him & says this is the worst show he's ever done. He says for the best music from "Use Your Illusion", he's got Guns 'N' Roses & says hopefully when Axl finally releases his new tunes this year, that it'll sound something like this.

Well at least he knows more than most about Axl and the current band incarnation.  He must be a pretty big fan.  The average person doesn't know most of that.

@jmrgnr: probably noone but there are a lot of wrestling fans on this board so it was worth posting, Chris Jerico has mentioned Gnr a few times in the past and its good to no that he aint just on the slag gnr off bandwagon he is genuinely someone who likes them and follows them more than some people.

Jericho really is a genuine fan of hard rock and metal, just giving his own opinion as a fan of the scene, rather than of any one band in particular. Can understand what he means- wants to see GnR representing everything best in the genre, where they should be. I'm sure he'll be sure to catch a show, and be convinced of the authenticity of the current band.

jesus, the thought of a knuckheaded turd like chris jericho at a guns n roses show is might depressing. its a reminder of the side of the bands support that has tarnished what the were in the eyes of many - the redneck fuckwits who have soiled the greatest, dirtiest punk rock n roll band since the new york dolls.

tommy stinson was part of one of only three other (metallica and pixies) bands in the 1980s that could come anywhere close to challenging the absolute brilliance of guns (though none really came close, and certainly nowhere near an appetite). for jericho to be dismissing him as a two-bit musican is an ignorance i could do without.

guys like jericho, and guys that support this tool, kinda make me embarrassed to be a gnr fan.

Get over it. Jericho is a cool shit. Are you gonna bitch and moan when you find out Ashlee Simpson like Guns N' Roses or that Hillary Duff thinks Sweet Child O' Mine is great, or that Triple H thinks Axl's a flake?  Who gives a fuck what others think. How the hell does that impact  the way you feel about the band. Embarassed? For what? It;'s jericho's opinion not yours so try not to take it so damn personal. The drama of it all Roll Eyes

Jericho is awesome. I may not care for his band, but a lot of metal heads think it rocks plus he is a great wrestler. Id love to see Jericho had the NYC show.

Before all my posts about subjective matters there should be an IMO before the post. I took this sig down but of course it has to go back up.

I wouldn't have known who the hell Tommy Stinson was had it not been for Guns N' Roses.

Jericho's not an internet GNR nerd like we are - you can't fault him for that.

Exactly right. I read an interview with him a while back, and he said he was attending the Toronto 2002 gig which is cool. And for him to continue talking about the band, shows that he is interested in the record. I think someone should send him the leaks hihi
