I was just wandering how you get to become a higher ranking...

is it the amount of posts you have?
the amount of time you spend on the site?
how long you have been registered?

The rankings come with stars, 500 posts = 4 stars and 1500 posts = 5 stars.

Yeah, but for every -2 of karma you get demoted one level... so you're also halfway to Headliner!

I hear if you get +1 karma you can also obtain 6 stars.  But I don't believe it.

I'm sorry, but with that attitude you shouldn't be.

There's nothing special about the levels. Some people think they get special treatment because they have 2000 posts. That's wrong.
