Well, wasn't his last solo original? I guess only the middle solo (the one with Paul mirror guitar) was like the original.

Just thought one thing: the last old GNR song recorded and released was Get In The Ring, right? Or was something else from the Illusions?

It was Sympathy.

No, I think he meant their last original song. Which would be Oh My God.

I prefer the stones version but I always liked this cover. Only thing thats disappointing about it is the whole "every cop is a criminal..." part. instead of having it come to a sort of breakdown there I think it woulda been cooler if Axl really hammed it up there instead of being so mellow.

I love both versions of thw song, but i think i prefer the Gn'R version as it just has more energy and more power, which seems to be somewhat lacking in the Stones version. (though the Stones did actually release that song in the 1960's, whereas the GNR version was 1995, so that explains why there is a difference in energy between the song)

**I should preface this by saying that this happened before you could find out shit on the internet months in advance**
I went to see Interview With A Vampire at the theatre when it came out.  When it came to the part in the movie when this song kicked in I thought it was pretty cool.  I didn't know it was Guns...and I was a HUGE Guns fan at the time...but as everyone was getting up and leaving while the credits rolled I was hooked on this song and couldn't leave...plus I was trying to figure out for sure if it was really GN'R  (remember this was in 94 so it had been a couple of years) Finally the music credits rolled and I was the only one left and sure enough it really was Guns.  The next day I bought the cassette single (which I still have) and eventually the whole soundtrack on CD (which I also still have)
