avenged sevenfold aren't that bad........

they're just the trendy band to hate on these days...........probably because they have such a large following of emo wankers.  plus they're beginning to look more and more like douchebags themselves so they're an easy target.

while they're heavy songs are completely different from GNR (since gnr is blues based and avenged sevenfold is like pseudo-metal) the balads are similar.

I still don't hear it.  I see that in the vid they're trying to be like GnR but I don't think the song sounds like them at all.

I can definitely hear it. The slow, wailing guitar, devinitely sounds like Slash, and the slow singing melodies are definitely GnRish, like in Lies. It's not as good as GnR, of course, but it's a good song. The guitar tone is also very GnRish, I love that tone. The Axlish vocals attempt after the solo was actually decent, but I still laughed some at it. 

I like Shadows Fall the most for metalcore, but I liked this song a lot, and didn't expect it out of A7X. It's cool.
