LONDON (Reuters) - Broadcaster Chris Tarrant has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a fellow diner in a restaurant in Nottingham, a police source said on Monday.

"How to be a Millionaire" host Tarrant, 60, was arrested late on Sunday and was released on police bail early on Monday after questioning.

Nottinghamshire Police said they received a 999 call shortly after 10 p.m. from a man who said he had been injured following an incident with another diner at the Memsaab Restaurant in the centre of Nottingham.

"Police officers attended and a short time afterwards a 60-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and taken into custody for questioning," a police spokeswoman said.

"The man has been bailed to a date in June pending further enquiries."

In February Tarrant was divorced from his Norwegian-born wife Ingrid after 15 years of marriage.

The couple announced they were parting last September after Tarrant admitted a seven-year affair with a teacher.
