Alphabet Soup

I really hate litter.? It disgusts me when someone throws garbage out of a car window or just leaves crap in the street.? How is it still possible that so much plastic and other garbage is dumped in oceans excluding incidental dumps through sewer drains or accidental discharges.? With all the recycling campaings etc. you would think the reductions would be vast.? Unfortunately if there isn't money to be made, the waste is dumped either legally or not into the seas.? In general large cities and municipalities, have large sanitation budgets through taxes yet go and pull a sewer cap or look into a catch basin and see what you find.? There are many people willing to work or do the overtime and the machinery exists to clean the problem areas yet it isn't done because of the cost of paying someone a salary or just OT.? The workfair and community service programs apparently a waste of time.? Even recycling stations have been reduced to a minimum and that's because if you put them out, someone will actually fill them.? It doesn't make sense. Why promote if you won't devote! Does it always have to be the the bottom line?
