I'm sure it would be a good show, but ...

I have heard that Triumph will be there. Don't get me wrong; those dudes rocked ... especially their early stuff.

Who else is on the bill? If more 70s bands, I always wanted to attend.

all the bands haven't been fully anounsed yet but some rumors are Iron Maiden, Lita Ford, probably Mini KISS again, and Def Leppard might make an appearence i heard.

don't take that to seriuose the only one out of those might be Lita as for the others i just heard those from different promoters and such people and blabbermouth so take it with a grain of salt.

peace

Imagine the chaos GN'R would cause if they decided to shake up that dustball Rocklahoma! Unannounced or not it would be major news..But I think there are certain bands from the 70-80's that are a bit to big for that event..

Not to mention the fact that almost every male who attends Rocklahoma is exactly the type of scumbag who throws shit on stage. Exactly the same white trash idiots who Axl has to weed out of the first 10 rows at most other concerts so the rest of us can enjoy the show...

i will tell you why ...LOOK at those PATHETIC artists that are playing there....they represent everything that Guns N Roses were against when they were coming up in the late 80's....Bret Michaels?!?! dont get me wrong I dig a some Poison songs...but come on...

your name is shadows7X. Would that mean you liked Avenged Sevenfold by any chance?

If so id think twice about calling any artists pathetic.

hahah you obviously know NOTHING about music...to even begin to defend bands like Winger, Cinderella and all that nonsense....and you are going to give ME crap for liking a band that is actually relevant today AND a band who has gotten the personal approval of both Maiden and Metallica???  Not to mention the fact that Avenged Sevenfold has played with Guns N Roses several times over the past couple years.....

Guns N Roses do not belong anywhere near Rocklahoma....and the fact that Steven "The weakest link" Adler continues to play those types of shows and milk "Appetite" for all its worth is a disgrace.....

How can you call a band like "Triumph" pathetic!!  I think you need a lesson in music history.

I wasn't talking about ALL the bands....look at the majority of them...

well guys, it looks like word on the street is: Motley Crue, Buckcherry, Sammy Hagar, Drowning Pool.  I went last year and had a good time, but I find it strange that thy might have some newer bands on this bill this year.  Since they may be having some newer bands, maybe that gives us a better chance of getting GNR.  One can only dream  drool

Did i actually name any bands in which i was defending? if you look infact one of the posts i say winger are crap. So go blow.

Avenged Sevenfold arnt relevent today, they sing about shit, they are a typical band of today, they have ok verses and then they have those same beat lame ass emo chorus's. The guitarist is good but thats all they have got going for them, at the end of the day whether you wanan admit it or not, avenged capitalized on the emo image. Plus they cut all there hair short recently, thats just lame for any so called rock band to do. (unless they are really old and thinning)

Who gives a fuck if they toured with gnr? Bullet for my Valentine toured with the band and most of the fans on the site complained about that every night, doesnt mean the bands good.

I honestly cannot imagine why Guns n Roses would ever want to be associated with this event, as it's essentially a lifeline for many late 80's and early 90's acts working the nostalgia circuit.  True, much of the general public hasn't heard from Guns in a long, long time, but for those of us who follow the band - we know that there's a big disconnet between perception and reality, and that GnR is far more relevant to modern music right now than any of the acts featured at Rocklahoma.

To me, Rocklahoma offers many previously-big acts a chance to reclaim and revisit a little bit of their lost glory.  Given what Axl & Co. have accomplished in the past few years - the touring, completing CD, etc. - as well as what the future seems to hold for the band, to say Rocklahoma is beneath them would be a bit of an understatement.  They're simply in a different league than any of the acts that play there, and - although the wait for Democracy has been a long, frustrating one - it's hard to argue that Guns are past their prime (blasphemy, I say!).

That said, Rocklahoma is still a show I'd definitely like to make....high school, here I come!

But Winger does suck...Cinderella is hella rad.
